The Twins spent this past weekend apart. It was Lori’s boyfriends birthday so he was in town, as Michelle went to visit a friend in Wilkesboro, NC. We both enjoyed our relaxing weekends.
Michelle was introduced to a new game on Wii called Punch Out. Have you heard of it? Played it? Well it was a lot of fun…oh and I won just about every match. This was by far the best Wii game I have played in regards to getting a workout in. The Wii fit was a bit of a disappointment, but Punch out is worth getting if you have Wii. It really can make you work up a sweat.
Michelle is so sore…her arms, shoulders, back…muscles I do not regularly work are extremely sore. Amazing how just about 30 minutes or so of playing Punch Out could make my body so sore, and it was so much fun!! Love that!
Lori and her boyfriend went and played tennis. Lori forgot how great of a workout tennis can be. We used to play tennis back home with the parents, which both played a lot of it when they were younger, so it was fun for them to get back into playing it. Tennis is a great cardio alternative to your typically gym routine. Some researchers say since tennis requires alertness and tactical thinking it can create new connections between nerves in the brain that can promote a lifetime of continuing development of the brain. So grab your tennis racket and a friend and go have some fun while burning calories, improve you self image, and help keep your brain active!
Sunday night was full of catching up with one another about our weekends. As we did some work we both decided were just not mentally ready to discuss “business” so we chose to watch a movie. We had “No Reservations” that we got at Christmas last year and now are finally watching it. We know, we know how can chefs not have seen this movie already? Trust us we have be meaning to see it, so were excited to finally sit down and watch it.
We loved it!! Although it was full of surprises, so if you have not seen the movie you may not want to read this part.
Well lets just say we both were not expecting to cry!!! The movie had all the emotions….sadness, joyfulness, happiness, laughter, love, and inspiration. It is a great buy if you do not have it.
We ended our weekend with this:
Raw Key Lime Tarts
YUM!!
Now it is Monday morning and we are looking at all the work we have to do that did not get done since we took the weekend off. Although it was a great weekend so we are not getting down about it. Just time to get to work…and wow the morning is already over….busy day.
Take Care
