Hello again everyone,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful evening. Michelle and I have been baking away for our two farmers markets tomorrow. We did it! It is our last day of our mini liquid base detox cleanse, minus the few slices of raw onion kale bread : ) Since our bodies have enjoyed mostly liquid base meals that is probably what we are going to continue doing with occasional salad or something.
Even though we eat a majority raw plant based diet we like to keep things simple. Some raw foodies like to make complex meals like a raw pizza or raw tacos which is great, though Michelle and I tend to not really like those. These type of meals tend to be too much for our stomachs at the moment. We tend to just enjoy large salads for a treat!
We feel our bodies still need to get rid of some more old stored away toxins. And once our organs start to heal and begin doing what they are meant to be doing then maybe we will start enjoying more complex raw meals. But for now we like things simple, which is naturally part of eating live, plant based meals.
Here is the twins Friday food intake:
Breakfast: lemon water plus our morning smoothie
Perfect way to start the day!
Raspberry Parsley Smoothie:
- 1 bag of frozen organic raspberries
- handful of fresh parsley
- 1 lime juice and zest
- 4 tsp sun is shining
- 3 tsp bee pollen
- 1 tbsp vanilla bean powder or 1 vanilla bean
- 2 packets stevia
- 1 cup coconut water
- 2 cups purified water
Blend everything into a vita-mix and enjoy. * Now remember you can adjust our smoothies to your liking or what you have on hand.
This smoothie was good, we would make again.
Snack “pre-workout”- fresh figs, spirulina, stevia, coconut oil – blended to make a green pudding! Love these!
sooooooo gooood!
Lunch-post workout- now this smoothie was not the best, we ended up adding frozen blueberries to help. Michelle wanted to be lots of green so that is what I did. This is not one to make again or at least will need to be altered.

Smoothie was based out of water, vega protein, stevia, maca, camu camu, lemon juice and zest, carob powder, turmeric, and kale (about 4 stalks). And than added about 1 cup frozen blueberries, which helped a little bit with the “greeny” taste.
Snack was a slice of our Pure2Raw onion swiss chard hemp seed
The perfect snack!
We made this one a little thicker than normal, and it was so yummy. Another way we are trying to get people to eat more greens…green bread!
Now we planned on having two more meals: chia pudding and juice. Well our chia pudding ended up filling us up that we did not have the juice. Plus since we were in the kitchen frosting up cupcakes and all, we had to sample : ) (Yes that was not part of the cleanse, but as chef/baker you have to taste your products, right?)
Acai Chia Pudding
The other day we made goji berry chia pudding, today we did acai based pudding with cinnamon on top. It was good and filling. We love our chia seeds!
YUM
Workout
We never know on Fridays if we will have time to workout. Today we did manage to get in a good 30 minutes of yoga. It always feels great to stretch our body, which becomes stiff from standing in the kitchen.
Back to the kitchen to make some raw mock chicken salad and raw tostadas to sell at tomorrows market!
Till next time,
The Raw Twins
