Hello Averie, Glad you are following both us on our journey! Though Michelle's journey is a little bit more exciting them mine. LOL> Vega to me taste alright plain - I prefer it mixed with coconut water or blended up in a smoothie. So I guess if you are eating it plain than maybe it is an acquired taste. I just prefer that as one of my main protein sources because of the ingredients that is in it. I believe in all those ingredients and that there is stevia to sweeten it not sugar. And I found my body likes this one the best. It digest the best! Lucuma is another low-glycemic sugar and good source of iron and many other vitamins/minerals. I try to get different varieties of low-glycemic sugars like lucuma, yacon, agave nectar, and stevia into my diet (but I typically always use stevia). Is your brownies on your site? I would love to see them, they sound good ( I would love to give you some of ours!!)

Hi Lori, I am new to sayin hi to you, but have been commenting on your blog on Michelle's stuff...anyway, that Vega stuff...they sent me that, and I like protein shakes, and I could not roll with that stuff...do you like it or was it an acquired taste? Way too dirty and gritty for me.

I also make ice cream (vegan of course) in my vitamix. Basically Gena's banana softserve that I tweak w/ a little almond milk. Ive never had lucuma and dont even know what it is.

Your brownie bite and granola bar look great; I made raw vegan brownies too with dates, cocoa, walnuts, agave. Mine are more gloppy and runny and yours looks more dry...and really good, can I have one?
