Hello everyone
I have started packing for 105 degrees. I wanted to share with you how I go about getting ready to pack.
Step 1: Make a list
Step 2: G0t luggage out
Step 3: Lay out clothes, shoes, etc.
Step 4 : Make sure food/snacks are in bags
Step 5: Double check list and bags
Ok, so I only gotten to step 2, haha. I keep finding other things that I need to do before I can get around to packing. I have to admit creating my list has been a bit difficult because I will be gone for a month, and yes I will be able to do laundry, but still. I am also traveling on a plane, which makes it even more limiting, and since Lori is not going I only have one wardrobe to wear : (
Whenever we travel we have always made sure we had food and water to eat. This was due to the fact that we were picky eaters than became more picky when we started noticing out food sensitivities. Well it just made it easier to bring our own goodies! Check out our road trip we took last year!
For this time around we made a few different things for me to take on my trip. I cannot take a lot, due to limit space in my luggage. Lori will send me a package full of the things that didn’t make it with me. Yay, something to look forward too : ) The raw snacks I will have with me are some of our green breads (kale, swiss chard, collard), brownies, macaroons, herb crackers, carob cookies.

A little bit of everything to satisfy any craving : )
Next on my list to do is upload new songs onto my ipod shuffle for the plan ride. Then make sure I have all my electronic things…camera, cell phone, computer, and all the chargers that go with them, ugh, it should would be nice if they all used one.
other essentials that will be measured into little bags for easier travel
Twins travel plan:
So when Lori and I do travel we always make list, make our food, fill up our water bottles, and verify who is packing what in their suitcase, just to make sure we are not bringing the same things. Our typical routine to prep for heading out of town is to eat light because you already fell heavier when you travel. If we fly we tend to drink majority water and maybe a little fruit and some of snacks. We do not really eat a meal because that would just make us feel more sluggish from traveling. If we are driving to wherever we are going, we again do not have real meals. We make a large smoothie to sip on all morning, and then just take bites of our snacks throughout the trip. We feel eating a little throughout the trip helps make us feel better because are body is not having to digest a huge meal. All our energy can be used on driving.
Here is some other traveling tips:
1. Get tickets packed (if flying)
2. Get a map (if you are driving)
3. Pack snacks for those cravings during travel (good snacks are: nuts, crackers, dried fruit, banana, apples)
4. A good book/magazine to read
5. Ipod filled with good music to help relax you while you wait at airports
6. Pack a re-usable water bottle so you can make you get your water in
7. Move around – if at airport while waiting for next flight walk around to get some exercise (if driving, stop frequently to stretch the legs to keep them lose)
8. Make sure to have a sense of humor especially while you travel because things happen and you do not want to create more stress on your body. (We know this a lot easier said than done, though we always tend to laugh a lot when we travel. Not sure why. It just happens with us. We like to make it fun!) Because traveling can be stressful.
Now these are just very basic tips to think about when you travel. What are some of your traveling tips or ideas? Do you have any funny stories about traveling? We got plenty.
Well time to go get things checked off my to-do-list.
Till next time,
The Raw Twins
