Hey everyone,
Ok, Michelle and I have decided on what our plan of action is going to be for the next 7 days. Yep, we are aiming for a 7 day cleanse. Depending on how we are feeling at the 7th day will determine if we go longer. We are really trying not to put much pressure on ourselves because sometimes when we do we tend to fall of the “wagon” in past cleanses.
Plan:
Duration is 7 days with option of going longer
Drink as much as water to flush everything out. We will try to get at least 60 oz of water. Drinking water alone is one of the most efficient ways to detox!
Do sauna 2-3 times during the week – sweat helps eliminate toxins plus it helps mentally and physically relax you
Yoga/walking – Exercise is important to help your body sweat, which helps detox. Pick an exercise that you have fun with, which is key! By moving, stretching, and relaxing the muscles, the lymph fluid effectively pull out toxins.
Dry skin brush everyday – purges the garbage and toxins from your system. It motivates blood cells and lymph tissue, which are 2 key physiological detoxification avenues.
Deep breathing/mediation – Oxygen is a powerful detoxifier. Oxygen feeds the cells and blood, as it detoxifies the organs and glands.
Have one green smoothie a day – get our greens and fiber
Have 2-4 juices a day – full of nutrition and water, and it easy to digest so our organs get a break
Take a pro-biotic – support the growth of good bacteria
Colonics – one session during week (with some follow up sessions) – it is important to clean out the colon first because it is the last portion of the food processing chain. Without it being cleaned you will just be recirculating the toxins back into your body (which was our problem)
Emenas every morning- teaching the body to eliminate in the morning is important!
Lemon water every morning - gets rid of the mucus

Detox does not need to be harsh or dramatic but can be easy and simple. They can be simple as one day cleanse or you can do it for 30 days…the key is to work with your schedule and listen to your body. Our bodies detox everyday, but every once in a while they need a little help.
Why you should detox?
The body stores foreign substances and toxins in its fatty deposits. When you detox you are clearing out toxins from the body!
Signs that you need to detox?
digestive disorders, tiredness, headaches, allergies, constipation, skin eruptions, depression insomnia, excess weight, and so on.
We all live in a toxic, stressful world, from the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe. We feel there is no right time to detox because everyone is different, but when your bodies gives you these signs, it might be wise to listen. Also in between seasons is another good time to cleanse!
What is a toxin?
Any kind of substance that has harmful effects on the body generally leading to feeling of illness.
Why it is important to clean out the colon?
It carries out a number of vital functions including the completion of the digestive process involving absorption of water and assimilation of minerals. The colon is a huge part of the excretory system. It is responsible for getting rid of food and other body wastes, plus protects us from infection and disease. The worse your colon is the quicker you will age.
Each day we will tell you what we did and how we are feeling, plus provide more information about why all these things are important.
So far morning of day one is going good…had lemon water, did enema, and drinking water…almost time for green smoothie : )
We will check in later
Till next time,
Lori & Michelle

Good luck ladies! Will be watching with interest. Go get em!
Can’t wait to see your progress! I need to start doing colonics — I’ve read they can do some pretty amazing things.
I wanted to ask you about water. Do you two drink tap water? I found out about two years ago that tap caused a great deal of my acne problems, especially cysts. I switched to reverse osmosis water (filled by the gallon at Whole Foods) and the change has been remarkable. I still have acne issues (still working on the detox aspect myself), but not nearly as bad as when I was drinking tap. Actually, even Brita filtered water breaks me out — I need super purified water for the cysts to stay away.
Thanks Jessica for telling us about the water. We currently use a Brita filter but actually are looking into getting fresh water from a natural spring. I appreciate you letting us know about reverse osmosis water, we will look into it!
This is so informative, I can’t wait to follow and see the results you experience! Thanks for all the wonderful information about cleansing, I am learning so much!
