Day full of goodies

by Lori and Michelle on October 15, 2009

Hey everyone

It sure was a cold morning here…very hard to get out of bed, but after having a green smoothie we were ready to go. Had pretty productive moving got some things checked off our very long to-do-list.  Then we were getting a little hungry so we made ourselves one of our favorite drinks…raw coffee!

Although this one was more of chia flavor: full of mesquite, maca, lucuma, carob, stevia, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamon

CIMG6040 It was the perfect fall drink : )  We both have really been craving fall spices…love fall!!

We had a pretty good day, still feeling good after the cleanse…the appetite  sure was back.  After our coffee, while we were doing work we just really had small bites of things here and there. It was not really planned not to eat a meal, just got so busy that the time flew by and before we knew it was 4 pm?

Our workout today was YOGA (detox twist moves and core) followed by some push ups, butt/leg work and some calisthenics. We are really loving not going to the gym…just have been satisfied with yoga and walks/runs outside. We are considering canceling our gym membership, which would be huge for us, but lately our workout focus has changed. Our friend Averie discuss this on her post today, check it out.

Today was also a fun day because look at all the goodies we received in the mail today:

CIMG6053Look familar?? Yep same one from school. I am so excited to make fresh Kombucha tea for Lori!! I hope I don’t mess it up…a little nervous.

Next package

CIMG6051The big orange box is from the folks…it was full of these

CIMG6062Yes Florida apples and pears…yay!!

Then we received two books that we are excited about reading, one I read while at 105 degrees, but I wanted Lori to read it and then we will pass it onto the rest of the family…that is how we roll in our family. One person gets a book and then we share it!

Book on the left:

Green for Life By Victoria Boutenko. Yes, yes I know how can be raw foodies and have not read Victoria’s book…well to be honest just never got around to ordering it. I wanted too, so I am finally excited to read it!!

Book on the right:

The Living Foods Lifestyle by Brenda Cobb. She is the one that really got be thinking about the health of my colon. She is an amazing person who naturally got of rid of her illness through eating raw, living foods. Check out  her story.

Anyways thanks again for everyone who has commented on our blog…we appreciate all the support!!!

Check out an amazing giveaway from an amazing lady…oh yay did I mention it’s Zico COCONUTS!!

Time to get back to work got a few things still to do before heading to bed…although making some Kale Chips to sell at the farmers market Saturday!!! Hopefully I do not eat them all ; ) We have a new “cheese” recipe that we will share tomorrow!!!

I will leave you with these…

I have been debating giving up my gym membership lately – I am loving just doing yoga and workout vids at home so much and saves so much time… however I still really like a few of their cardio/kickboxing classes and don’t want to give that option up but I rarely have time to go… decisions decisions :/

Loving fall spices now too – I don’t think I’ve ever gotten this into fall as much as this year… but I’m loving it!

I wish I could come to the Farmer’s Mkt to buy your kale chips.

Lovely packages, and I’m so glad you are both feeling alive and fresh after your cleanse.

Walking/yoga/spending time outside? Perfect. :)
