Hello Dara, the easiest way to make vegan yogurt is out of cashews or almonds. our recipe here is made from coconut meat, which not everyone has access to coconuts. so feel free to sub those nuts in for the meat. to be honest I am not really sure how much this makes, it usually would last the two of for about 2 days. sometimes 3. we never used a machine to make yogurt so cannot speak from that experience. please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have a few questions.
First off, I am dabbling in veganism. I MISS YOGURT. I want to make my own vegan yogurt. I just received a Krups ice cream/yogurt machine and I am dying to use it. Have you ever used one of these and/or do you think it is possible to make your coconut (or maybe a soy) yogurt with this machine??
Second, how many cups of yogurt does this recipe make and how long does it last before going bad?

Thanks!
