Good Thursday morning friends,
Today it was a tad bit chilly out so we decided what a great morning to have some hot cocoa
Here is the recipe:
Coconut hot cocoa
- 1 cup coconut milk (leftover from yesterday’s dinner)
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp carob powder
- 1 tbsp cocoa
- 1 pinch lavendar (optional, we just felt like it)
- 12 drops liquid stevia (or sweeten with your fav)
Note: This is not too rich chocolate, but more of milk chocolate. For some reason both of us do not like our hot cocoa to be thick or heavy on the cocoa, I know weird right considering we both love chocolate : ) Anyways this recipe can totally be altered to make it richer if you prefer. We made this version of hot cocoa last winter for our farmers market (although we used agave instead of stevia) and everyone loved it. It is a great way to warm up on cold day! Or replace it for a cup of coffee : )
Directions:
Place all ingredients into a pot and set at medium low heat.
Whisk together

Viola you have yourself a nice warm chocolate creation!
Enjoy!

Not a bad way to start the day, eh?

Also we received this

Thank you thank you to Earth Mother…we were one of the lucky winners to win her give away of…

Oh ya!!! We love COCONUT WATER! It came with 2 t-shirts, although a little big for us, but that is okay we will still wear them : )

This was perfect timing because our stash was low : )
Time to go enjoy a glass of coconut water before our run today!!

Have a great day!
Till next time,

Wow, that was quick! How nice that they sent a t-shirt for each of you. Enjoy your coconut water, lovelies!
How fun! Coconut water is the best.
~I’m going to have to make some hot cocoa! I’m really getting a craving now, lol. It’s chilly and rainy here. The perfect day for it.
~Thanks for the demo on how to make pumpkin seed milk.
You are the THIRD blog in the last few mins that I have been to that has hot cocoa on it. Uncanny the timing! Rawmazing and MamaWeeds do too. Wow as if I wasnt already craving it after the 1st, I have to make this today
Thx for saying yours isnt too rich. I have only once used carob in hot cocoa and it didnt dissolve well or i didnt wisk enough. Anyway, I felt like I “wasted” the rest of my ingredients as i had to dump it. Maybe I need to re-try your carob method. Do you taste any grit for lack of a better word?
Congrats on the coconut water major score. I love coc water too. Enjoy!!!!!!
Averie, we did not have too much grit from the carob, just make sure it is mixed well! If you do just heat it more, because we notice heat helps it dissolve so to speak!
Yuuuuuuuuuuuum to coconut water!! I WILL have to try that hot cocoa! Looks so good- especially since it’s so cold here! Thanks for the post!!
