Did somebody say Ice Cream

by Lori and Michelle on November 11, 2009

Good evening friends,

Well it has been raining here in NC all day …though we need the rain here. But my herb garden is slowing getting washed away from all the rain.  :(

Our day was pretty productive I must say ;) Here is what we got done:

  • emails
  • phone calls
  • made batches of our coconut oil agave based frosting for some cupcakes and cake orders
  • tons of laundry
  • made a few rounds of kale onion breads for market
  • made our samoa cookies for market
  • made a new yogurt recipe
  • made a new round of kombucha tea
  • prepping for baking all night for a large order for tomorrow :/
  • 25 minutes of kickboxing, abs, push-ups and calisthenics
  • 45 minutes of core yoga from yogadownload – its a killer!

Pretty proud of myself for getting all that done on this rainy day. Usually I am never in the mood to do much! :) So what do I do to treat myself …make some raw ice cream of course. Who doesn’t love a good bowl of ice cream now and then?

Not just one flavor of ice cream but TWO!!!! :)

As part of our dessert theme week

Can you guess the two flavors… we will reveal the flavors and recipes tomorrow morning  I know you all just love the anticipation. ;)   We had an unexpected change in our recipe… find out why tomorrow

Find out more about these two delicious recipes tomorrow!

Twins Eats for the day:

Both of us were feeling really good today and having happy tummy’s and success in the bathroom (sorry again had to say it… because this is huge for us)

Ok back to the goods

Morning started with green smoothie (cilantro, parsley and papaya, Vega’s EFA blend, and flax meal)

Didn’t really have much of a lunch we snacked all afternoon.  Had some raw brownie bites, raw chocolate covered chocolate chip cookies, and our small green coffee drink.

Than made some ice cream and had to try a few bites!! YUM!!

Dinner was another green smoothie (more cilantro, parsley, kiwi, stevia, lime)

Evening snack: avocado chlorella pudding filled with yacon, maca, and stevia  (though it may not look too pleasing… it really hit the spot… I just love how avocadoes get so light and airy when whipped in a blender.

nov pure2raw pics 272I stirred my yacon syrup Michelle left hers on top so that is the brown liquid stuff you see on hers!

Simple yet satisfying late dinner snack!

Plus we had a glass of our cocktail homemade kombucha tea (we flavored it with fresh ginger) This batch fermented for about 10 days!

Don’t worry though we got plenty more kombucha fermenting for us later this week and some will be ready next week! So excited… can’t seem to get enough of this stuff.

Plus we made a new yogurt recipe today – :) Can’t wait to eat it tomorrow!!!

Both of our bodies really seem to like and appreciate all the fermented foods and drinks (we also have water kefir every other day).  Good bacteria finally growing and staying inside us!!!

Oh yeah almost forgot we also finally ordered our new Nike Frees for our marathon. Check them out.

We have been wearing them around the house to help break them in. Now they are not the most stylish shoe but we like how they feel on our feet!

So far we are liking them… though have not ran in them yet. Maybe tomorrow or Friday!

Have a fantastic evening… it is going to be a long one here for the twins.

Till next time,

The Twins

I can’t wait to see what the flavors are! My raw ice cream is usually bananas plain or pureed with some pumpkin or mango. Mmmm :)

Aren’t productive days the best?! :)

How much do you think your “bathroom success” is related to the colonics? Have you noticed any other changes because of them? I really, really need to start getting them… just haven’t found a location yet.

Jessica, Yes I think colonics have helped because it is getting rid of old waste, which in turn helps heal my colon. Eating lots of greens!!! We make sure we get a pound of greens (kale, spinach, collards, etc) blended up in a green smoothie. Enemas have helped too, so if you cannot find a place to go. Let me know if you have any other questions.
