We are leaving

by Lori and Michelle on November 16, 2009

Hey everyone,

Happy Monday morning! Yep you heard us right we are leaving don’t worry not the blog world I mean we are going home for the Thanksgiving Holiday!

Michelle and I are planning on heading home this coming Saturday so if any Florida bloggers want to meet up let us know. We are heading down first to visit our friend Gina in her neck of the woods. Than heading to Orlando to see our other older sister than finally home.

We are getting ready for theme week #2! Aren’t you excited!! ;)

This week theme is Holiday Meals. We plan to share some recipes that hopefully help or inspire you during this Holiday season. We are taking some of our favorite holiday meals and putting our twist on them and cf course they will be all gluten free, vegan, and majority raw :) If you just have an open mind the possibilities are endless. * We will give tips if you would like to make these recipes cooked.

Ok now for more exciting news. First a while back we mentioned that we had some exciting new to share in regards to our oldest sister. Well… we found out the she is pregnant and it has be confirmed! :) We are so happy for our sister and that we are going to be aunts!

It has been awhile since Michelle and I drove home so this road trip should be interesting ;) We plan to bring a few extra items (blender, dehydrator, plus lots of goodies) with us because our trip home is going to be longer than normal.Get ready everyone for hanging out with the Corso’s this Holiday! It is always a good interesting time.

And we get to see one of our favorite boyfriends!!!

BearL

This is Bear our second oldest sister dog… we miss him!

Well we got a busy day week ahead of us! Today our day started at 5am — oh boy!

What are your plans for this Holiday season? Do you plan on going home? Going on vacation? Are you the baker/cook in the family, if so what are your favorite meals to make?

Congrats to your sister!!!!!!
Good luck getting and going home. As long as everyone can “play nice” when the family is all together, it can be awesome! I hope you have an amazing time home, and have fun w/ the road trip! I miss being able to do that kind of thing. With a toddler, you don’t enjoy road trips, you endure. LOL

We have major holiday plans, a nearly month long getaway, havent posted about it yet though but we’re really excited :)

Congratulations to your sister and to you new aunts!!! That is exciting!

Thanksgiving I will be running a short 10k (to burn some calories for later!) and then hanging out with the family that live about 3 hrs away. Hopefully we will continue our tradition (and addiction) by going to see New Moon- Twilight Series! Love it! (the books were better though…hehe)

Lori – thanks. Yeah our home town has a turkey trot… that we will probably too. And yes seeing the New Moon is high on the priority list! :) The books were better though movies are still good!

Congrats to your sister!! I love being an aunt! :)

We never get to go home for Thanksgiving (we like to save $$ to come home for Christmas) so we’ll be hosting a Thanksgiving for our friends here in Los Angeles! I try to sneak in SOME healthy options, but for the most part, my friends like to HOG-out on the traditional, calorie-laden fare. I’ve already got a big morning run scheduled for some extra wiggle-room that day!

Look forward to your recipes!

Orlando sounds like the place to be this holiday. You’ll be nice and warm.

I’m lucky to be able to stay close to home. The majority of my family live within 15 minutes of my house. We’ll be going to my mom’s for brunch and then Matthew’s grandmother’s for dinner.

I am glad I found you girls. I am a lacto-vegetarin, still working towards becoming a vegan. I am about 80% raw and am always looking for new and exciting recipes and snacks. I am going home to Boston to see my folks for Thanksgiving and its my first vegetarian holidy and am excited that my family is making all kinds of arrangments so we are all happy :) Have a safe trip home. Oh and Congrats to your sis. Out of curiosity is she also a raw vegan?

Our sister is mostly vegan… and eats some raw. We are trying to get her to eat more raw/vegan foods. I am glad that you came across our blog and that you are enjoying our recipes. Let me know if you ever have any questions.
