Look at all the goodies
Hey everyone
Thanks for all the lovely comments about my running outfit! Glad you like the pics… and yes we are getting nervous for our marathon.
Look at these amazing goodies we received the other day:
The wonderful people at Vega sent us some samples of…

We have seen other bloggers review these, so what do the twins think??
Then lovely Ingrid sent us

Ever since we saw Teeccino Herbal coffee up on her blog and Kristens, we have wanted to try it, so excited : )

It is gluten free

And finally our Pomgranates arrived from the amazing Heather.

Lori modeled the POM Apron : )

Pure2Raw twins product review: Vega Whole Food Vibrancy Bars
We have only tried the plain Wholesome Organic bar.
We love that it is Raw, sprouted, gluten free, alkaline-forming, and Vegan!

Pretty looking is good!
Nice up close too!

Time to taste…

Ok well first off it did not blow us away like “WOW this bar is really good.” We both thought it was decent flavor (we could really taste the dates and acai in it). The crunch from the buckwheat was good. Texture different due to crunch and chewiness of dates, nice combo. It feels like you are actually eating something not just processed goo. No real strong flavor or any after taste which is a good thing. Not too sweet!
Overall we just are not BAR people! Sorry we are not even big fans of Larabars. I mean all these bars are great for on the go or as last resort options.
We just prefer grabbing one of these

Our very own raw onion flatbread!
We prefer flatbread/crackers over bars! But if you are a bar person than you should give Vega a try because they are a great company with great products. As many of you know we love their Vega Complete Food Health Optimizer!!! We do plan on tasting the other two flavors during this week and will report back on what we think.
Twins overall review: One thumb up!
It did not get two thumbs up because it really did not blow us away to make us bar lovers. We just love the Vega company as a whole so we support them and their products.
Till Next time,
The Twins

I felt the same way about these bars… I found that if I put them in the fridge I actually liked them alot more (? yea no idea why, texture maybe?) The ingredients are definitely good so at least I felt good about eating them even if the taste wasn’t “woah!”

Late on the comment train but I have to say, loved the running outfit photos! I need to be better about layering, especially in Chicago.
I received those bars as samples but have yet to try them. I’m not really a bar person, either! I like bars but will buy them and go months without eating them because I’d rather have a more voluminous meal
Your raw onion flatbread looks like a fantastic option!
Happy New Year, ladies!

I love teeccino and drink it a lot now that it is cold. Most of the time I select the Java flavor, but I also really like the chocolate mint.
That apron cracks me up. Hilarious!

I’ve been curious to try Teeccino..but I saw that it has barley in it (and also saw that it was listed as gluten-free) How is that, as barley has gluten? I assume it must be if they are claiming gluten-free…curious!

Kelly, I know we thought the same thing. We plan to contact the company. One thing that comes to mind is that the amount of barley is used is very minimal.

[...] I both did not like it, there is some flavor in there we just do not like. We think, like the first bar we had, it is the Acai in there. We have had Acai before and liked, just have never been huge fans [...]
