Hey luvs
Hope every had a great weekend…get all your Christmas shopping done?? Staying warm??
Well things have been crazy here for us and I am sure everyone else feels like they are running around with no time to rest. Tomorrow is when the Twins split ways for the holidays. One is heading to the mountains of North Carolina and the other is heading to sunny Florida!
We wanted to share a kind of a random topic, well maybe it is not because as you all know we are big fitness people. We grew up playing sports, we love a good competition : ) The past few years we have done all sorts of exercises and even managed to accomplish running 2 half marathons, 1 marathon, and currently training for our 2nd marathon all the while starting up our bakery.
Speaking of our training we have been doing something different lately. We got the inspiration from our friend Mike. It has involved this guy…
BOSU BALL!
We are in love. We have been doing exercises on this little guy for the past few days, due to the very cold weather we have been going to the gym for out workouts. Yep, we have not run very much and we are aware our marathon is getting closer, but we just needed something fun and different, you know?
Well this bosu ball is a great way to work the whole body : ) So it is great for when you are short on time, like we have been these past few days.
Twins Question: Have you tried a new workout lately? Do you like it? How often do you change up your routine?
We used to be really good at doing the same workout routine for 6 weeks or so, then we would change it up. But nowadays we have an idea of what we want to do but our schedule is never the same every day therefore making us to change our workouts more often. We actually have been enjoying not having an exact plan, because it keeps our mind working…being creative for our workouts.
We also have been noticing some changes, good changes, in our physical appearance. Ever since we went raw, and most recently going off birth control, we have finally lost that layer of water weight that girls tend to carry around due to hormones, etc. And we love it!! After years and years of long hours in the gym we never got the “definition” we have always wanted.
Why ?
Because we are careful of what we put in our mouths, we have learned so much about what to eat for best performance and now seeing it is also affecting our appearance!!! Plus doing more yoga and now these short more intense workouts has really been having a positive affect on us : )
We plan on doing more of these short, intense workouts along with yoga more often in this coming year and probably less running after our marathon. Where we are in our lives we just feel like this fits! And we are excited to see what the next year will do to our fitness levels and physical appearance.
Till next time,
The Twins

I love the bosu ball! I’ve done kickboxing class on one of these before and it was intense – but fabulous – such a great exercise tool if you ask me. Hope you ladies are having a lovely night
Stephanie, wow bosu ball and kickboxing… sounds intense but fun
Cool ball, Ive never tried but it looks interesting.
And I’ve seen your goodies and your linkbacks to your bakery all over the blogosphere and I am soooo happy for you both!!! You’re really getting the word out and if there’s anything I Can do for you, link backs, you name it, just LMK, I’d be delighted to help
As far as the G. Post. I am thinking later on this week, maybe like Fri or Sat I will post it. I will give you a heads up of like 24 hrs, ok? Thanks again for your help with that, and anything I can do to help you two , holla
Averie, thanks!! You are so kind and the best!!! Yes it is nice and kinda weird
seeing our name and products finally out there. Very nerve racking! Excited for our guest post on your site!!!
I’ve always wanted a bosu ball! Right now I have been using my stepper, treadmill and some kick butt dvds! I love working out!
Lauren, here ya on love working out!!!
I have heard that building muscle is easier when not on birth control pills! I finally stopped taking mine two weeks ago after being on the ELEVEN years. Can’t wait to get some better muscle definition
My lower body already seems a little leaner…
I loveeeeeeeeeeee the bosu!!!!!!! It’s my favorite toning tool!!
Bosu Balls are the best ever! They help work your core without a lot of work at it! Balance works every part of your core! My new favorite workout is the P90X Kenpo which is pretty much kicks and punches.. I may have to buy more kickboxing dvds and try those. I get a great workout and it’s fun!
And, yes, nutrition is everything when it comes to how you look, and well, genes, unfortunately. haha! Good work on listening to your bodies and discovering what exercises and foods works for you at a given time. That takes a lot of work but looks like you two have it down!
Ahhh I love the BOSU BALL!
I took a few classes with them and they are so cool.
I am doing Insanity and P90X – updates on my blog, trying to get STRONG!
Happy Tuesday,
Katie

I totally agree on the birth control pills! I finally stopped taking them a while back and realized how much they were affecting me when I got off of them. I had no idea!
I really like your blog. Good luck with your business!
fun! I love the Bosu ball
