Hey luvs!
First we are so excited to hear we won the wonderful Stephanie’s ExerciseTV giveaway!! Thanks girl and look forward to see more ExerciseTV from us : )
Lori and I are so happy to hear that everyone has been enjoying our last two post on hormones. If you missed them, please check them out and let us know your thoughts.
Today we are showing you all a video of what products we currently use to wash and take care of our face. I say currently, well because we are always trying new things, plus as we grow are skin changes too, so are products might change.
As you all know Lori and I have troubled skin, and lately Lori has been dealing with acne due to going off birth control. As for me, I have dealt with it for many many years, and remember we are not experts, this is just what we do and it works for us from our personal trial and error : )
Extra Virgin Coconut oil – we love it to wash our faces at night. Does a great job on getting makeup and eye makeup off! And it taste good too : ) Add we add MSM powder and sometimes B-5 powder.
Live Live Bee Yummy Skin Food – is raw and organic. I apologize for my mistake in the video (i was a little nervous), but I was trying to say it is not vegan because it contains honey, but we still love it. It contains honey, honey cappings, bee pollen, propolis, st john’s wort oil, royal jelly, pure water balsam fir needles.
Raw gaia – raw chocolate face pack – we love it because it contains turmeric, plus cocoa powder, sun-dried red clay, and amia fruit.
The Solution – great face lotion and serum all in one. It contains DMAE, Vit A and E, ALA, plus more great ingredients that are wonderful for the face.
Avocate Skincare – love it because it contains just sea salt, avocado, and honey (again not vegan, but a great natural product). We heard about this product through the lovely and beautiful Jenna.
I rather have my skin care product be non-vegan than contain chemicals I cannot pronounce! I like to know that it is safe, natural, and if some happens to run into my mouth it is okay : )
Now we know there are other natural skin care products, but these are what we use and love.
What do you use? What is your must have natural skin care product?
Please share we love to hear!
Till next time,
The Twins

These all look great! I love the idea of using the coconut oil to wash at night. Never thought of it. And that chocolate mask sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing!!! Great job.
Thanks Adrienne, yep we love coconut oil. And the chocolate mask is great, highly recommend
Wow. I LOVE this post. No wait, I love this one AND the two on hormones. TOtally awesome stuff!!!!
Agreed, no one tells you the horrors of both BCPills NOR do they mention that coming off them can be a ramping down phase; you dont just stop and are “all better” and “back to normal” in a month. I dont think so either.
The Beauty Stuff. Kristen’s Raw did a recent post on natural beauty items and I love your tips/links, too! I still have not found any natural co’s that I love. Here’s my #1 issue..I’m cheap if I am buying something that i am just kinda meh about. It’s gotta be great. And if it’s great, I am not cheap at all. But lots of natural products just don’t seem to “Work”. THe lack of SLS which creates the foam and “squeaky clean” feeling is what i can never (after a decade of trying!) get used to w/ natural products.
I am off to check out the links you just gave! I need a basic, all purpose face cleanser. Nothing “exotic” is needed, just basically something good to clean my face with that’s easy…i hate too many steps!
Averie, totally agree. We do not like spending a lot of money on products that are not worth it
Our faces have really liked the ones we mentioned. Another product we have heard about but have not tried yet is 100% Pure. I think they have a wide range of products too. Good luck with your search for a great face cleanser. Coconut oil does great too!
That Choc mask does sound so yummy. I do love Coconut oil and use it for my body, but suffered such bad breakouts after using it on my face (never having prob skin before) I had to deem it body only. I love to mix it with raw brown sugar for an awesome body scrub (that does taste good to0
Thanks for the great post!
I never would have thought to use coconut oil to wash my face. That’s such a great idea! I’ll have to start tonight
Thanks!!
I love the video post! My skin care regimen consists of Clean & Clear followed by Neutrogena moisturizer both day and night but lately have been thinking about finding some more natural as well. Esp as I get older I find that my skin is always changing so I love hearing about what works for others… the coconut oil is fascinating, I had no idea you could wash your face with that!?
Awesome video!!!
I love getting beauty reviews because I love beauty products! I told you yesterday about my obsession with 100% Pure!
Cute video; I love it!
It’s really interesting that you just wash your faces with coconut oil…I’ve just been using water, but I think I’ll give the coconut oil a try. Thanks!
Hey girls, just wondering if there is a certain brand of coconut oil that you prefer? I’ve never bought the stuff but am very interested in trying it as part of my cleansing routine… I figured you girls could give me some good advice
Also, have you used it in cooking before (even though I know you are mostly raw)… ?!
That Choc mask sounds great!
Have you ever tried Mychelle products? She lists the scientific name and in parenthesis in layman’s terms. No animal products or chemicals are in them. I haven’t put harsh chemicals on my skin in years and I’m not going to let my son do so either. She just came out with a clear skin cleanser that my son is using and it really helps. I’ve been using her products for years now and will continue to. A little cleanser goes a long long way because you don’t need to use alot of it at a time.
I came across your posts on hormones/BCP/skin care from Choosing Raw. I’ve also had a lot of skin issues that I’ve been solving through natural means. I loved your suggestions! I thought I’d also throw in a couple, in case you’re interested. I love the Aubrey Organics line, especially their Vegecol moisturizer. It’s great for sensitive skin, and you only need a tiny amount. I’ve recently become enamored with the Clarisonic Mia. I know people have various results, but it’s really helped deep clean and clear up my skin. Thanks for all the great natural tips!
Decide on natural skin care and foods is really a risk when your not used to it. Need an adjustment to cover up things you must consider. But through the health is very important, you spent time getting to it. I do love your dedication on your blogs on natural skin care routine. I do like reading it and also listening the video.
