by Lori and Michelle on March 13, 2010

Hello luvs,

Happy Saturday to you all! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

As I mentioned earlier this week we have been playing around in the kitchen creating some new items and we wanted to share some food pictures with you all :) Just for something fun today!

Raw scone #1: Cinnamon Raisin (nut free) Scone

Looks pretty close to our gluten free vegan one doesn’t?

We are pretty happy with our scones. We were never really scone people but they are our top sellers so we have really learned to love them :)

Donuts has been another long time recipe for us to create and perfect. We have a few different varieties of these little donut holes at the moment :)

And we have a few other great recipes that we can’t wait to share with you all in our cookbook. We are working hard to get this done as soon as we can :)

Ok enough of that now onto our breakfast for this morning.

Before heading off to the farmers market we enjoyed

Raw gluten free vegan coffee cake (from pictured above) topped with coconut butter on top with crumbs!

march 2010 p2r blog 704Pretty close to our cooked gluten free vegan cinnamon coffee cake? Picture just does not do these two items justice! ;)

Well we are pretty exhausted! Saturdays are a long day for us since we don’t sleep Friday night (due to baking for markets), so we plan to take it easy the rest of the day. We just wanted to share some exciting food pics…. well maybe they are just exciting to us :) We hope everyone is having a great Saturday!

What is your favorite movie at the moment? After watching the Oscars I guess I need to see The Hurt Locker. Has anyone seen that? Though we might go see Matt Damon’s new movie the Green Zone!!!

Also check out Lauren’s great chocolate giveaway!

Till next time…. tomorrow is another great recipe!

Hey girls! Drooling over all these delicious treats, per usual. I have been enjoying my Cocoa Kremes so much too, half the bag has been demolished already, obvi ;)

Can you believe that next week at this time we’ll be at FitBloggin? So excited!

As for recent movies, we watched The Box last weekend which was kinda out there but I actually really enjoyed. Also loved The Time Travelers Wife (watched it twice haha). We want to see both The Hurt Locker and The Blind Side too!

Beautiful creations! They do look so similar to the baked ones.

Ooo, I’ve been dying to see the Green Zone, and mostly because Matt Damon is in it, haha. I just saw the Proposal last night and thought it was a cute movie. I really like 500 Days of Summer, too.

Claire, oh we loved the Proposal we huge fans of Sandra Bullock. :) I have not seen 500 days of Summer, will have to look into that one.

Seriously. You two are such positive inspiration – I have yet to undertake raw baking projects, but you present it in such a way that it doesn’t look daunting or intimidating! Thank you thank you thank you :)

I loooove coffee cake, and I love that these aren’t made with nuts. Nuts feel so heavy to me.

Pure2 March 14, 2010 at 6:21 pm

Gina, nuts make us feel heavy too and so far if we eat a lot of them – effects our skin.

Those donut holes looks fab!

You know, I never heard of the movie Hurt Locker until it was announced it was nominated for an Oscar. I’m out of it I guess. Anyway, many movies I still have yet to see but recently watched the 2nd Twilight (why I’m drawing a blank on the title I do not know – I mean I read the books!) and Sherlock Holmes and another that I actually didn’t finish watching….not a bad movie just not my kind of movie.
