Thank you for the note of support!
I had a great race. I am still in Florida but as soon as I get home I want to place an order and test out all of your amazing products.

P.S. I want more cookbook details. I just saw in your most recent post a reference...I had no idea you were working on a cookbook. I am really excited by this announcement. I look forward to following along in your writing process.

I think the food journal is a great idea! I used to keep one, and it got away from me after a while... When I did do it, though, I was really able to track how certain foods affected me! I especially noticed that nut fat affected me differently than fat from avocados.

Good luck ladies! :D

Nancy thank you so much for this lovely comment :) Yes food journal can be very helpful. That is so interesting about your periods from eating mostly cooked foods and taking out dairy, etc. I hope our information can help you in some way. We are all here for each other for support and knowledge. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help. Take care :)

I once had a food journal. Loved it, it was a powerful tool. I was prompted to start one when I started developing some pretty annoying stomach problems. It seemed that whatever I ate went right though me, at least once or twice a day. The journal really helped me pin down the problem, which turned out to be caffeine. In hindsight I should have known, but really without the journal I doubt I would have figured it out. I've seriously reduced my caffeine since that time and have not experienced the tummy problems since.
As for periods. I'm only partially raw, but have not noticed a difference from the time when I was eating all my meals cooked. The big difference for me was when I went vegan and gave up dairy about 6 or 7 years ago, I have not had a regular period since. I went from having one every month to maybe having one every two or three. I'm following your hormone posts very closely to see if there's anything that I might use for myself. Thanks for blogging this and being as honest as you are!
