A new day

Hey luvs

Thank you to everyone’s nice tweets yesterday. If you follow me on Twitter, you saw that I was having a bad day. I will not go into much detail because I do not want to dwell on the past…today is a new day…better day ; )

Well it sure looks like Lori had been lucky with her eats over there in Paris. I just got off Skype with her, and said she has had even better meals…now I wish I was in France.

Her meals sure put mine to shame

Beet cucumber apple romaine juice…I just love the froth on top.

april 2010 p2r blog 007A new green smoothie filled with mint, cilantro, apples, coconut, and lime. It was delicious, the only thing missing was me sitting on the beach!!

Since it has been so hot, I really have been craving more liquid based meals …surprised, right ; )

I got my newest obsession from my friend Anthony

april 2010 p2r blog 031Juice of 2 grapefruits blended with some green powder (I used chorella) but really you can use what ever green powder you like.

A simple yet refreshing drink. Perfect for hot sunny days!

I have been snacking a lot these past few days. Mostly due to having no time to make a meal, although last night I was craving something more…something to really chew!

april 2010 p2r blog 014 I lightly pan roasted some broccolini in coconut oil with some turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, and a little rosemary and then served it on top of some red kraut and fresh basil.

Do notice you prefer different foods when it is hot outside? Do you juice more?  Craving anything different in the spring?

I notice I am craving fresh fruit more, especially grapefruit and berries!

Looooove broccolini! Yours looks beautiful! Glad you are doing better today, sweet pea! I am craving fruit too!!! Looooove it right now, just had 2 champagne mangos! Mmmm!

I’m glad you are putting the past behind you and starting today with a new, positive attitude!

I definitely crave more fruits and veggies in the spring/summer. During the winter I crave more hearty food, but in the summer, I like things a bit lighter and jucier!

I read about you on MizFit’s blog, and I will be stopping by as often as I can.

Yes, now that it is hotter, I do crave lots of berries, and I put ice instead of just water in my nightly green smoothie.

I definitely crave more cold and fresh fruits and veggies in the hotter months :) it makes eating high-raw much easier ;)

Mmmm that grapefruit juice sounds divine!! I crave way more produce when it’s hot…it’s so refreshing and hydrating! Hope you had a great hump day!

that green smoothie combo sounds so good! lime + coconut is always yummy. and i love the idea of adding mint!

I am starting to crave those summer fruits: nectarines, peaches, fresh figs!

the comment that you just met brendan at WF?!!! Wow! He was in Phoenix about a month ago but this city is sprawling and huge and he was at a couple WF’s that are literally an hour each way, in rush hour traffic, over the dinner hour. So sigh. I never saw him :( You’ll have to give me the cliff’s notes and anything that was “news” or anything he really stressed. I have both of his books and love him!

I’m so sorry to hear you had a bad day. Now I’m really glad Hayden made you smile. You really must meet her in person.

I still think your food looks good, too. I’d consider it eating well.

Now that it is warmer, I crave cooler foods. When it’s hot, I crave melon, n’ice cream and sorbet.

Broccolini is new to me… cool. And so is blending grapefruits with green powder. That actually sounds amazing. So simple too.
Glad it’s hot there… it’s been rainy here, although today it’s sunny. Sooooo ready for warm weather!
