Green smoothies to go cups

by Lori and Michelle on May 1, 2010

Hello Friends,

Hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Glad to hear you all have been enjoying Lauren’s tips on dealing with Crohns. We had a great day at the farmers market!! It sure was a hot one today ; ) Thank you to all who came out!

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet, sorry we are very tired!

We wanted to share with you all a new product we just love

IMG_6902Have you seen them? Heard of Copco?

We saw these at Bed Bath and Beyond and just knew we had to get them…perfect to drink green smoothies on the go…much easier than mason jars! They fit perfectly in car cup holders!

Now you can really get the stare from people when they see you walking around with a green smoothie in your hand…or maybe it’s the green smoothie mustache they are staring at, haha!IMG_6897Have  a great evening! We have some recipe highlights to share tomorrow plus a giveaway!

Till next time,

Michelle

You will love them mama pea… they are great for traveling. Though sometimes we make really large green smoothies and it does not all fit in the cup :/ But we love them anyway!

Ahh! SO glad you posted this!! I’ve been trying to think of ways to transport smoothies for months now. My water bottle definitely wouldn’t cut it because I need the straw-action, you know? Thank youuu :D

I have a reusable coffee mug from the same company (also from BBB). I love it, and now I think I need to try this one. I like my mason jars, but the glass is kind of heavy to bring along with all my other stuff sometimes.

Oooh those are cute. I love the “Are you drinking green sludge?” stares I get on the subway when I sip my smoothie out of a nalgene!

At first I thought you all had made layered smoothies with perfectly aligned green and brown layers – then I realized it was the cup! The look super cool.

Glad you all had a good day at the Farmer’s Market!

I really like those cups! They don’t look so… Large, “ghetto,” and mason jar-y! I love my mason jar action but I think those to-go cups may be easier to hold, carry, and definitely keep from rolling around in my car on the way to work! (I hate that!!! Lol)

OMG! I love that cup! So cute! I definitely need to give my mason jars a break! Ha! How has it been so far? Has the lid stayed put? I don’t have a car and I’m ALWAYS running around town with my gym bag or laptop flung over my shoulder, so I need something that I know wont destroy my goods if I need to throw it in a bag (upright, of course) for a minute or two. Thoughts? Thanks, ladies!

Hey Maya, so far the lids has stayed put, but also we have not been throwing the cups into a bag, so not sure there. Also I think you would be better off with mason jars, because the lid on these cups have a hole for the straw, so it might spill into your bag. The cups were not to expensive, so you could give it a try and see what happens, just maybe put a towel around it or something just in case. I hope this answers you question, let us know if you have any more.

I like those cups too, but I worried about the leaking and also cleaning the straws. What I found that I LOVE is 10 oz. Orangina bottles. They are glass with a cool shape and a screw top cap. It’s easy to throw a couple in my tote bag if I’m going to be gone for awhile and they never leak. Plus they just have a nice shape to hold onto – definitely not mason jar-y :) And free after I bought the drinks for my kids and their friends! I now have 8 bottles that I use to put my leftover smoothie in every morning so some are always in the fridge and some in the dishwasher and some lost in the car . . .
