Hey luvs
Today’s workout was Max recovery Insanity DVD….although not sure if it was much of a recovery ; ) We want to welcome Katie to the world of Insanity!
Okay, okay, but what about this pizza?
Remember our wrap from yesterday?
It made two so Lori and I decided to make the second one into a pizza!!
Pure2raw vegetable wrap/pizza crust
- 1 cup flax meal (or you could do chia)
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 – 2 cups roughly chopped cauliflower
- 2 small carrots chopped
*note we did not really measure the vegetables, they were just leftover so we just threw them into the food processor and hoped it turned out.
Steps -
Place cauliflower and carrots into food processor and pulse till small pieces.
Then place flax meal with water into a bowl and stir in pureed vegetables.
Feel free to use other vegetables and add spices. We wanted it as simple as possible!
We divided the mix in half onto two dehydrator sheets. Shaped into a circle. Dehydrated for about 5 hours then flipped and went till slightly crispy, or desired texture. If you do not have a dehydrator just place oven at lowest setting and bake till desired texture.
Pure2raw Basil Rosemary Guacamole
We made a quick basil guacamole for the base sauce
- 1 avocado – mashed up
- about 12 leaves fresh basil
- 1 in (about 1 tbsp) fresh rosemary
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- sprinkle sea salt
Stir together and then place on top of vegetable pizza crust
Choose your favorite vegetable toppings…we layered our pizza with some local salad greens and sliced up beets.
We sliced them using a mandoline and marinated them overnight.
Pure2raw Marinated Beets
- About 2 beets, sliced thinly
- drizzle with olive oil
- sprinkle of sea salt
- and herbs of your choice, just a little sprinkle
Slice up and enjoy!
This vegetable pizza was so good! It was light, refreshing, and best of all simple!!
We are definitely making this again!!! We got some more recipes coming your way!!!
Till next time,
Michelle

I can’t wait to get to the “max” stage!
Your pizza looks awsome. I love beets, I love pizza, and Basil Rosemary guac? Brilliant. Just bookmarked this page!
Kaite, you will love the max stage, it is intense though
Whoa that crust looks great! I have been paying more attention to really simple receipes like that the past 3 days b/c i have been hell bent trying to make some seed crackers…which i just succeeded at. but…omg taking 8 hrs to dehyd and then flip and repeat..argh! too long for me on a regular basis. I am impressed that this crust only took 5 hrs then a flip. I admit to cheating and finishing my crackers off in the oven LOL
xox
Averie, yes being patient and waiting for things to dehydrate is hard at first
Now we have done it for so long it does not bother us, haha. Dehydrating all depends on what final texture you are looking for
Good luck with yours!! xoxo
this looks delicious! i never thought of putting basil and rosemary in guacamole! thanks for the inspiration!
This looks like such a beautiful and refreshing pizza, I love how colorful the beets make it! Wish I had a dehydrator :/
ha! i thought it was lori!!!
=)
What a creative way to use beets, I love it
so interesting you used cauliflower! looks delicious.
Hi girls, how much chia should i use and how do i add it in?? Dry seeds? Or should i soak them to make them gel?? And how much should i use if it is gel? Questions questions… Thanks!!
Hugs from Denmark
Monifah, I am assuming you are trying to exchange the chia for the flax meal in the recipe. If so, they are interchangeable. Meaning that you should be able to replace the flax for chia and have no problems. Using chia seeds whole will just provide a different texture, you do not have to soak them before. I hope this helps. Thanks!
