Hello friends,
As promised Michelle and I wanted to share our new carrot based cheez sauce that we enjoyed a lot!
Pure2raw Recipe: Carrot Cheez Sauce (gluten-free, vegan, raw, dairy-free)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup chop carrots
- 1 large zucchini, chopped
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp turmeric
Directions:
Chop carrots
Chop zucchini
Place your chopped veggies into vita-mix along with the remaining ingredients. Blend till thick and creamy!!!
This sauce is very simple and you may use any flavorings you like
Love the color that the carrot and turmeric provide this sauce. So fresh and vibrant!
This sauce is great for multiple purposes like
Making a delicious plate of veggie pasta
Or
Covering veggies to make cheezy vegetables
Or
What will you make with this carrot cheez sauce?
Till next time,
Lori

Ooooh I get excited when I have all the ingredients for a recipe – could totally whip up some carrot cheez sauce RIGHT NOW! Oh, wait, I DON’T HAVE A VITAMIX! Or a food processor for that matter…ah, what a bad food blogger I am! Looks fabulous girls
Hey Ladies –
Just saw your last post as well. Sending you my warmest, most loving vibes and praying that all is well in your world.
Thanks for sharing the recipe – what a lovely sauce! I’d be tempted to put in a little nutritional yeast for the protein and the cheezy taste
Also, white pepper and nutmeg are great cheezy flavorers
I’m off to visit my in-laws for almost 3 weeks tmrw, can’t take vita with me, alas (only had it a few weeks and can’t imagine being without it!) so will have to try making this when I get back home. I could imagine it being delicious over cabbage kraut, or wakame, or beet slaw, or, or…
love
Ela

Looks delicious girls! I am bummed that I am out of chickpea flour right now! I need to get some like yesterday. I hope you both are doing ok and that all of your family stuff is getting worked through. Have a great Sunday!

Awesome recipe! It looks pretty simple too. We’ve made carrot pesto before and it turned out amazing, we will have to try this one out…:)
Jennifer and Jaclyn carrot pesto — yum that sounds great!!!
Just made this for dinner and I love love love the colour. It’s like that orange mac and cheese sauce! I subbed tahini for sunflower seed butter and a bit of olive oil. Turned out awesome!
Iam so making this!!! this sounds delicious!
This was incredible! I omitted half the salt, use this as a spread in homemade spelt tortillas with spiralized golden beets, sprouts, and red onion. Thanks for posting this!
Elena awesome, glad you like it!!!
Hi Girls,
Thanks for the sauce idea…I tweaked it a little and put it on chopped up zucchini and spaghetti squash for a delicious flour and dairy free “macaroni and cheese” pasta! Even my husband loved it! Here is the recipe if you want to try it: http://www.integratednaturalnutrition.com/updated-mac-cheese/
