Hello luvs,
Today was day one of the Disney Wine and Dine expo for the Inaugural half marathon. And it was ONE LONG DAY! Our feet hurt…our backs ache! Yet it was a fun time and we got to meet some really great people and sell some awesome shirts
Michelle and I got up early for a short walk before a long day standing all day. Then grabbed some coffee before heading over to the expo.
Before our day got started at noon we all enjoyed our smoothies that we packed.
Two grapefruit kale smoothies for us and a blueberry kefir smoothie for Jen
Enjoying my grapefruit smoothie, and I am wearing the Princess tank.
Jen drinking hers and wearing Princess V-neck shirt.
Michelle drinking her smoothie and she is wearing Run for Wine shirt.
Showtime – time to rehearse before everyone comes
Can you see us?
Time to sell some shirts
Raw Threads Booth
We were so busy talking with people we barely drank any water… about 6:30pm we all started to get really light headed and hungry so we grabbed our avocado puddings. By having everything in blended form was really easy on our tummies which is what we are looking for in a situation like this
I love my avocado puddings!
YUMM
This was our first time sitting down all day. It was a nice break!
The Disney booth next to us was selling sparkling wine, so right before the expo ended we had to try a glass
We cleaned up our booth and re-stocked everything and headed back to the hotel to grab some dinner.
Michelle with pureed up vegetables (mainly squash and beets)
Here I am enjoying some pumpkin chia pudding
YUM
We hit the sack a little bit after our dinner… we were tired.
The expo happens again this morning (again the expo is open to the public so anyone can come and get some goodies).
We also signed up for the half marathon for this evening. It is a night race starting at 10pm tonight! Our goal is to try to attempt to do the race. Though we are all pretty exhausted and have a full day of expo today, so we shall see if we have energy to do the half marathon or not.
Have you have been to a Disney race and expo before? Or any race or expo? Have you worked at an expo before? Any tips or advice… we are learning a lot by working this expo.
Till next time,
Lori

I have a friend there this weekend running! I am really glad that you two are getting some family time in and I hope you have a great weekend! Good luck tonight!
Hope the second day of the expo goes well, and good luck in the race!
Thanks Little Bookworm… I hope it does too!
whoa…busy day! how often do you girls run that you just signed up for the half marathon at night?! or are you planning on run/walking, that is quite a long day ahead
good luck!!
Thanks Melissa, it is a long day. We signed up for the half marathon a few months ago, but never trained for it. So it should be interesting.
Omg the best half marathon I ever ran was at Disney!!!!!!!!!!! It was about 7 years or so ago. Scott and I were living in Myrtle Beach and we ran the Disney Half together. It was at this time of year, I wouldnt be surprised if it was this race! It was not at night though. It was at like 7am. The park was closed, only racers were allowed in the park. The weather was perfect. Disney was magical. It was the best race experience of our lives and we ran a TON of races together back in the day. Disney just made everything that much better
Truly I hope you have a ball..I know you will and even if you walk it…just doing it, is awesome!
Not sitting down all day and ending your day with sparking water? Sounds like a perfect end
GUTE SHIRTS!!!!!!!
Rock your race!!!!
xoxo
Thanks Averie, you are the best!!! Yes Disney races are so fun!! I am glad you like the shirts!!! We do too
Looks like you’re having a great time at Disney! Hope you got to do the half
You girls look like you make some interesting food! Can’t wait to keep reading your blog.
Thanks Whitney, we like to keep it interesting
I’m so impressed that you guys managed to bring all that homemade food with you…. I try to do that when I can, but it’s just so much easier to bring a larabar, etc…. then you don’t have to lug around the tupperware before and after you eat it!
I second and third and fourths the good luck and have a great time in Disney!!!
