Remake of brownie sandwich

by Lori and Michelle on January 21, 2011

Good Morning luvs,

We received a comment about our raw brownie cashew sandwich if it can be made with dates? Yes it can! And the reader came back to let us know it came out and they were great, Love that!

Ever since then we have been wanting to remake this brownie sandwich.  Although we had to make some changes because we did not have all the ingredients on hand ready to go. So this time around it was not rich like a brownie, more like a soft chocolate cookie. We used carob so it would be less chocolatly.

Set in fridge to set a little.

Time to make sandwiches.

Next time we will have to get sprinkles to finish the dish like this amazing lady did.

Happy Friday!!

Till next time,

These are so cute! We’re trying also to take it easy on the agave and cacao. They’re just too good to be true….Yum! We are planning on making raw brownies soon. Great post!

I always think of raw desserts and then decide against them. But these I may have to try this weekend! And dates are the only sweetener? That’s allowed on my no-sugar game!

These are one of my favorite desserts. I added coffee extract to the filling to make mocha sandwiches and just patted the stuff into a 9 x 9 pan. Then after freezing I cut into squares. I bet a raspberry filling wound be great. Now I will have to make them again!

Be still my heart! I was only just reading someone else’s blog on their visit to One Lucky Duck and the cookies they made to reflect an Oreo look VERY much like these. You have outdone yourselves again lovely ladies! Oh to be a houseguest at yours….
