Wine and Dine

by Lori and Michelle on May 1, 2011

Hello friends,

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

What a weekend we have had. Just love when the parents come to visit because it means eating out at nice places…just like in college! haha Did anyone else look forward to their parents coming to visit??  You knew you were always going to eat good :)

The newly engaged couple with the parents!

Friday night we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Mimosa Grill.

Lovely decor inside, but we were lucky to have beautiful weather so enjoyed our meal outside.

The restaurant uses fresh and local ingredients!! Plus had a great wine list.

The menu had some variety, but not much in the veggie department. We did have some wonderful seafood. Everyone really enjoyed their meal!  Simple yet full of flavor dishes.

Sometimes we forget how much fun it is going out to eat….to wine and dine! The whole idea of getting dressed, sipping on wine, lovely conversations, and enjoying wonderful food. Also, love to have a break from making our own food and enjoy a nice meal with loved ones.

And of course we had dessert, which we enjoyed chilling in the hotel room.

Chocolate Cheesecake

Coming soon – more recap of our weekend and plus some new recipes :)

Till next time,

P2R twins

I love how happy everyone looks in the pictures. :) I can’t wait for the weather to warm up enough in Wisconsin for outdoor dining to become an option.

Congrats on your engagement! My advice to you is not to rush through the engagement, to enjoy your time together in this special place between dating and marriage. So many people just focus on the wedding as though it’s an end result – when really, the wedding is just the beginning. Being engaged is like getting ready for that next step, it’s not quite as huge but it’s still pretty important. And have fun shopping for your dress and shoes and girly things; don’t let it be stressful! One day you will look back and either remember how much fun you had choosing that stuff, or wish you’d had more fun doing it. Weddings are all about celebration – leave the sensible stuff for when you’re married :)
