Hello friends,

Sorry Michelle and I have not been around… we needed a little down time and some time away from technology to regroup and relax some! Plus we had some special visitors this past weekend.

We loved hearing everyone’s ides for our Mila giveaway and reading what everyone would love to make using Mila. And happy to see that everyone enjoyed our Mila pancake recipe as well. We have made those pancakes again today, though this time we drizzled a little maple syrup on them yum!

And now to announce our lucky winner for the bag of Mila.

Winner of our Mila Giveaway is:

Congrats Rebecca! Please email us your information so we can get the bag of Mila sent to you. Email us at twins@pure2raw.com  Thanks!

While relaxing all weekend we did enjoy some yummy eats like this raw cheesecake we made… sorry a little blurry taken with a iphone.

raw cheesecake made with cashews

YUM. We just love our raw desserts so satisfying.

Twins Question: What sport do you consider not a true sport? Or are all sports in your eyes considered a sport? What really defines a sport? Is it the intensity or the team or individual talent aspect?

We would love to know your thoughts?

We have had some intense debates with some of our ‘guy’ friends saying that they do not feel soccer is a true sport. When Michelle and I totally disagree; to us we feel it can be more of a sport than baseball… gasp!

Till next time,

Lori

Soccer not a true sport??? I grew up in England and Israel, and in both those countries it’s the national sport! Saying it’s not a sport over there would be considered blasphemy!

I think there are some sports where it’s a fine line whether it’s an actual sport or just a game–like tiddlywinks, or I know everyone used to rag on beach volleyball. It’s hard for me to think of martial arts as sports–they seem to have more to them than that.

Beautiful cheesecake and I’m glad you got some downtime!
love
Ela

soccer is totally a sport, it requires crazy individual skill, teamwork, cardiovascular endurance and overall athleticism. anyway, the cheesecake is totally making me drool! if i had to pick i’d say cheerleading (not the competitive kind with lots of tumbling and lifts) but generalized high school cheering. like standing there clapping/yelling. um…not really athletic if you ask me ;p

Never apologize for taking a technology break! Technology should not take over our lives. I always need a day or two to unplug during the week.
Anyhow……I don’t see bowling as a sport. It’s an excuse for birthday parties and wearing funky shoes.

My husband and I have this discussion sometimes — he’s adamant that anything that doesn’t using “real” scoring, but instead uses a judge who scores it, is not a real sport. So, things like figure skating and gymnastics aren’t sports according to him, although he appreciates the skills required for those events. I’m not sure where I stand on it, but I certainly think soccer is a sport! I don’t even understand how your guy friends can argue it’s not!

I’m not a big soccer fan/player (the US in general isn’t huh?) but the games are soooo fun to go to! Anyway, I don’t see how anyone could ever say that soccer isn’t a sport. I mean are your friends kidding?! ha! Silly boys.

I think most “sports” are sports when they’re played to their full intensity!! Like with table tennis- it’s an Olympic sport, which seems silly until you actually WATCH them play tennis and realize that it takes an ton of skill and speed to do it correctly!!

Lori! I’m engaged too! :-) eek!! Soccer is totally a sport. I wouldn’t class curling as a sport but it’s in the winter Olympics. Xx

I am probably a lot more lenient on the term ‘sport’ than most guys. I think if anything involves physical activity, physical training for said activity, and a competition to showcase one’s results of the training then it is a sport.
