We are in NYC working with Raw Threads at the Run Divas Long Island Half Marathon.
We wanted to share our road trip journey of getting here, which started at 2am in the morning
A few things we learned, one being if you leave bright and early in the morning make sure you have snacks and good conversation! and music!!
It was alright, very very sweet for us. We only had about half of it.
Lori doing a little blogging while we get some coffee.
Starbucks was our GOOD friend.
Check out our ride!
Wish we could say we had a perfect drive…we dealt with lots of rain and as soon as we approached NYC we hit about 2 hours worth of traffic. But all our stuff made it, nothing fell off, which was the most important.
Enjoyed a new recipe that we quickly made before heading out of town – mini apple bundt cakes (gluten free and sugar free).
We found the best way to bring smoothies along with us as well as the best way to reuse old kombucha bottles!
Dinner and food for the next few days is courtesy of
We stocked up on some essentials:
Time to sleep and start work (setting up booth) the next day.
Dinner the other night was an early celebration…hoping we do well.
Gluten free rolls….dry but tasted good dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
We had a great dinner and drinks!
Have you ever traveled with a car full of stuff? on top? trailer? Do you travel a lot for your job? What is your funniest road trip story?
Cheers from NYC!

yeah that mama chia stuff looked too sweet for me too so i didn’t buy it. GTs all the way! though i do notice it’s not quite a fizzy as before…is this due to the reduced alc content? oh yeah whenever i’ve moved i pack a car so full i can hardly see out of it lol. my best roadtrip was to Tennessee in 2006 for bonnaroo music festival. it took 9 hours and i drove all night to get home in time to take an organic chem final at 8am the next day lol. i didn’t do so hot on that exam but hey it was worth it!

Is that salmon that you guys picked up from the hot bar at Whole Foods? What a great idea! How do you store it at home?

Wow, that was a seriously laden vehicle! It’s 240 miles from here to the big town, so whenever we go, we do lots of errands and come back crazy laden like that.
Hope you’re having a good time over there–looks stressful but fun, a great way to meet new people.

I love your blog! I have been reading for awhile but don’t think I’ve commented before. I’m commenting tonight because I when I saw NYC and LI and Legal Seafood and realized that the Pure2Raw twins are in my neck of the woods. Welcome!
