Okay if you follow us on facebook you would have seen our comments about having a bad day. well things have not gone right for us and our bakery. a lot of work to do. so you can safely assume we are highly stressed over here.
and the day is flying by…do you have days like this, where everything seems to be going wrong? or you have so much to do but never enough time to do it all? or feeling so stressed that you are not sure if a workout can help?

we are here to tell you that a great workout can help beat the stress!! well, it worked for us
we were not even sure if we would be able to get a workout in. we had planned on doing a physique dvd, but ran out of time for that, so 12 minute HIIT workout to the rescue. we shall do our physique dvd tomorrow.
*disclaimer: we are not personal trainers please consult your doctor before doing any new exercise program. we just show what we do for our workouts, what works for us, and share them.
we will call our workout today:
Sweat Beats Stress Workout
we set our Gymboss Interval Timer to 12 rounds of 10/50 intervals. 10 seconds of rest with 50 seconds of doing the exercise
workout made up of 6 different exercises – and repeated twice
- burpees with push up
- surfer
- ab v-ups and kick out
- side burpees with push up
- flying scissors
- in and out abs (one of our favorite ab exercises we got from Insanity)
lori doing our version of ab-v ups
lori doing our wide in and out abs
after this workout you will feel alive. powerful. like you can conquer anything.
take that stress!!
BAM
after the workout we quickly replenished our bodies with a post-workout smoothie – bananas, cilantro, water, udo’s omega oil, and this
amazing grass green superfood raw reserve. (we bought this with our own money)
this powder is gluten-free, raw, and vegan with probiotics. this is full of so many good things, especially for post workout like chlorophyll to alkalize and dulse for electrolytes.
…
now we are off to go clean this disaster
Twins Question: Do you agree about working out to beat stress? Have you tried this amazing grass green superfood powder? do you believe in superfoods?
till next time,
xoxo

I just realized I don’t follow you on FB…I just fixed that! I do think working out helps relieve stress. I’m sure all of those endorphins being released must help something! I do believe in superfoods! Studying nutrition has really got me focused on nutrients, vitamins and minerals. I’m a firm believer in great nutrition. I hope you two are doing better!

Your workout looks amazing! I totally agree with working out to beat stress. Nothing beats that endorphin rush.
I haven’t tried this powder. I’ve been somewhat of a skeptic with the term “superfood” because it’s thrown around so much in the nutrition world as this rare, cure-all of a food. In reality, it is a food with a high phytonutrient content. For example, kale I would consider a superfood (shocker, right?!
) because it is rich and bioavailable in calcium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, and maganese!

we agree kale is a great superfood!
I had a bad day myself, and ended up accomplishing nothing. Good on you for getting your workout in.

Sweat beating stress? Ab-so-lutely! It’s so funny you posted this now, as everyone I speak to seems to be having a super-stressful and busy time at the moment, including me – which meant I didn’t go for a run for a week and a half. And as soon as I did I felt 100 times better! Gotta love that endorphin rush. Plus I think feeling strength in your body is empowering. Stay strong, girls … it’ll get better!
thanks Catie, and yay for you going out for that run! oh yes we love those endorphins!
Hi I do believe that can help, but for me I have found that I can not workout too much because I do not have period and imbalance problem and skin issue. So I workout more like yoga walk and I am fine. I use superfood everyday (vitamineral green chlorella, etc)to but actually not sure if they are working. For me is the best fresh green juice green smoothie when I do not have green juice or smoothie daily I miss it and feel it, but If I do not have powder greens I do not feel any difference so not sure if they are really working
Yep—totally a fan of working out to beat stress! It works so well for me that often work out when I’m anticipating stress just so I can take the edge off before it starts!
Love amazing grass, all kinds! I think superfoods are great, and like anything else, they’re often overblown especially when people are trying to sell something…

kick it to the curb! Working out is great but since I’ve been horrible with that just a simple walk can do a world of good for me. Sometimes I wish I had a punching bag or the ability to go back to bed and have a do-over.
Glad you found a cure and hope things are looking up!

I just bought Amazing Grass (original flavor). While I bought the original, I was psyched to see the raw reserve for my vegan/raw friends. I love this stuff. Has a great taste, too.
Looks like a great workout. I might need to give it a try!
