self workout

by lori on December 10, 2011

hello friends!

well, we are still playing around with our google reader and rss feed issues. we are trying out a new feed for our blog to see if that helps fix the issue. we will let you know if it does and if and when you all need to resubscribe or not. thanks for your patience during this mess. we promise we will figure it out.

our morning eats this week have looked similar to this bowl of pure bliss. yogurt or kefir (goat or coconut based), carob or mesquite powder, chia seeds, Udo Oil blend along with a cup of coffee. love my morning routine lately.

ever since Michelle got back from her trip to Vegas we have been doing great with our workouts. we actually tried a few new things this week in terms of workouts. you have seen our 7 things that help keep us motivated to workout. most of our motivation does come from within. you have to find that will power in yourself to go out and move your body.

Monday was a day off.

Tuesday we did a bodyrock tv style workout.  a 12 minute HIIT workout, set our Gymboss Interval Timer for 12 rounds of 10 and 50 second intervals. thought of 4 different exercises and went to work.

Wednesday and Thursday we did similar workouts as Tuesdays, we just mixed up what exercises we did.

Friday we did Amanda Russell – Hot Body Holiday Workout – and we loved it! we are new to Amanda’s workouts but so far we are enjoying them and plan to do more.

and today we are doing Selfs’s Plyometric workout – we really enjoy doing plyometric exercises. excited to give this one a try.

other things we have been doing is making messes in the kitchen.

what we do best.

we have a little get together with some friends tonight at my place and I wanted to make some desserts.

I shall share more pictures here soon.

off to go workout and finish things for tonight.

Twins Question: What plans do you have this weekend? Have you been to a Christmas party yet? Are you hosting a holiday party at your place?

till next time,

xoxo

Lori

Averie – no something happened to our feeds, we are not sure! still trying to figure it out, have no idea what happened or what to do.

Looks like you girls are having a great time–those workouts look fun too! I need to get back to doing plyo’s–I used to do them all of the time.
Lara and I have friends in town this weekend from Chicago so we’ve been roaming around LA showing them all the sites. It’s been a lot of fun! And tonight we’re going to a Christmas party so that should be really fun too. I absolutely love this time of year…just wish we had snow on the ground :)

That workout looks great, I’ll definitely have to keep that in mind when I’m traveling. And I can’t wait for the recipe! The ‘cleaning’ of utensils is one of my favorite parts of cooking, haha.
About the rss feed – did you try pinging and re-syncing feedburner?

Rachel – yep! done all that, still did not work. Think google hates us, haha

What’s mesquite powder taste like? I have been playing around with lucuma powder for the last few days and I LOVE it :) Plans for the weekend = packing up my house as I am moving in a month – very excited but packing not so much fun…. no Christmas parties are going to be happening in this mess!

Lou – love lucuma! And mesquite has a wonderful smoky, caramel flavor to it. We talked more about it here http://www.pure2raw.com/2011/10/dairyfree-high-fiber-low-sugar-mesquite-chocolate-chiaseed-muffins/

What we did with our Saturday was to go to a housewarming for a Filipino couple. They said they were going to have a pig roast and lots of Filipino food. Okay, great. What I didn’t envision was that a pig roast was really a pig roast. We walked in and there was the whole pig stretched out with an orange in its mouth. A unique dining experience for us but delicious anyways.

So far, I haven’t noticed any issues with your blog but I subscribe via email so I dunno…anyway, hope it gets worked out for you soon!

And a dessert party…er, a party with some desserts sounds yummy! And looks yummy too — lol. I love licking the bowl and spoon clean!

The Delicate Place December 11, 2011 at 1:15 pm

whoa. girls. i’m actually really surprised to see this nutjob on your blog: Amanda Russell. i clicked on the video to play it and nate leaned over and gasp. i gasped as well! this girl clearly has a problem. i felt like i was watching gollum in LOTR doing a workout video. she needs less working out and a little more eating! :( that was very sad to watch and i hope you don’t aspire to look that way! you both are so beautiful exactly the way you are!

aww thanks Melissa, we just like her energy and liked some of our workout moves.

Food Babe December 11, 2011 at 9:12 pm

Yeah – I thought her workout moves were awesome – but she may be a little too thin for her own good… Not judging though… she could be super doper healthy in the inside!

Thanks for persevering with the google reader thing. I’ve been having chia puddings for bfast too lately! I tend to avoid kefir first thing because I think it makes me nauseous, but first thing would be such a good idea–maybe I should try again.

As always, you’re such an inspiration with your workouts.
