Happy Friday everyone!
we made it through another week and started a new month! just crazy how fast February went by, but we are ready for a new month. lots of new goals. new things to accomplish. we say bring it!
we got a new fun workout for ya that we enjoyed on Monday. we are calling it A-A workout. this interval workout will work your arms and your abs. hence A (arms) A (abs)! aren’t we just so clever
**remember to always talk with your doctor before beginning any exercise program. we are not personal trainers, we just love sharing what we do for our workouts.
but before we share our weekly workouts, let us back up.
while we were down in Disney we did get our hotel workout in plus planks, then took the weekend off (Sat and Sun). we did no plank. just worked and traveled.
so come Monday we were ready to get back into our morning workout groove. we have been doing pretty good with working out first thing, Lori even has Gary up and working out with her!!
she is so proud of him for getting up and doing these workouts with her.
now usually in the past we (Lori and Michelle) have worked out together, but since we are trying to workout first thing in the morning we have been doing our workouts separately. must say it feels weird and great at the same time. we really have been enjoying getting our workouts done first thing! anyone else?
foam roller- we have been using our foam roller after each workout this week. slowly getting used to it.
re-cap of workouts:
Monday – 12 minute interval workout using our Gymboss Interval Timer (affiliate)

loved it! our abs and arms were burning, just the way we like it
in case you may not be familiar with some of the exercises we did here are some links to help.
- commando pushup we learned from Zuzana , as well the surfer exercise
- cross over mountain climbers we learned from this Amanda Russell workout
Tuesday - harder than ever bodyrock 12 minute workout. we have done this interval workout before. an old favorite. made up 12 different exercises, great overall body workout. looking back at our numbers from the first time doing the workout some of our numbers improved while others stayed about the same. we think it is from us still getting used to moving the body first thing in the morning.
Wednesday – Amanda Russell’s red carpet workout. we saw this one come through our facebook stream and it caught our attention. a workout of 5 exercises varying reps. took under 20 minutes to complete. we both really enjoyed it.
Thursday - Zuzana’s ZWOW 6 workout. a 10 minute workout comprised of 3 exercises that you do as many sets as you can during the 10 minutes. legs were burning in this one!
Friday – Tone it Up beach babe workout the tone it up girls said to do each move 20-30 seconds, so we set our Gymboss Interval Timer to 5/30 second intervals for 18 rounds. Loved loved loved doing the walk out pushups!! something we will do be often.
phew what a week in workouts!! loved all the variety.
we have a new fitness goal this month as we are heading to the beach with our girl friends at the end of the month and we want to have our bikini bodies ready. plus getting closer to Lori’s wedding. so we are going to try even harder this month to stick to our morning workouts and be more careful with our eats. we expect you all to help hold us accountable!!!
we will share more of what we mean here soon. plus coming soon a video of us making thin mint protein balls and veggie juice pulp crackers! and Lori will give update on her skin.
Twins Question: Any new March goals for you this month? Any big events you are getting ready for? How do you stay accountable?
till next time,
xoxo

As usual, your workouts ROCK! I’m so impressed by you ladies…you’re always pushing yourselves. it definitely inspires me to keep doing the same! You bet I can help hold you accountable. That’s what friends are for, right?!
My goal for March is to keep pushing myself to the point of exhaustion during my workouts. It always makes me feel SO good and like I’ve conquered the world – in a good way! It clears your mind and makes you stronger mentally and physically – why wouldn’t we want to keep doing it?! Happy weekend loves!

Totally stealing the ZWOW workout for today! Was going to do a 17 exercise BR one but this is way easier to remember and I love simple workouts without equipment. You guys always have such a goldmine for workout ideas, thank you!

aww thanks Gina we are all about quick easy workouts
I did the ZWOW #6 yesterday and loved it- squat jumps were a killer on the quads! Great job sticking with the morning workouts- not something I am good at accomplishing and I usually workout mid morning or afternoon after some coffee!

Katie that is how our workouts used to be, around mid morning after breakfast and coffee. so this a change for us.
totally agree, feb went SO fast! that is so great gary gets up with her! nate doesn’t formally exercise ever lol. he walks to work ~20mins and every now and then will do some pushups before a shower. so when i try to get up, he tries to cuddle and sometimes i miss workouts because snuggles are much nicer than doing HIIT first thing in the morning! i love commando pushups! i’m gonna try this one this weekend! i’ll let you know how it goes! i’m trying to continue to keep my eats clean, less red meat overall and try to stick to 4 workouts a week, lately it’s been 2-3x a week and i def feel better when i work out regularly!

I don’t have any march goals…but I’m going to think about it and see what I can come up with. Goals always help me focus!

I’m definitely an early morning workout kind of gal! I was watching Z’s workouts to choose one the other day to do and Tony said it sounded like porn from her breathing. It cracked me up, but now that’s all I can think about when I do the workouts! I’m getting others into do the planks with me now! I love seeing people take that challenge and really work for it. You can really feel the accomplishment when you’re done!
Have a great weekend ladies!

Happy Friday! 10-20 minute workouts are a great option for those who are super busy with work/family life and can’t visit the gym every day. I also like the selection of workouts. Great variety! Thanks for posting.

So many great workouts ! I also like to work out first thing in the morning. I find that it wakes me up, gives me energy, and sets the tone for the rest of the day to make healthy decisions. I also love that it’s DONE haha and out of the way. I feel like I’ve already accomplished so much by the time I shower and start my day.
Yes, agree that Feb flewww by. March goals include not eating wheat and catching up on my running (aka getting started again after a hectic February).
