hello friends,
HAPPY ST PATTY’S DAY!!!!! sipping on my green smoothie, how appropriate, right?
a few days ago our dear friend Janetha did a fun blog post called A to Z. and then she created a template for other bloggers to use. so thanks Janetha as always for such fun post ideas! we enjoy reading these types of blog post because we feel it really helps connect and learn more about the blogger behind the blog.
in our case, the bloggers behind pure2raw.
so here you go, maybe you will learn something new about us. or at least hopefully this amuses you for the day.
A is for age: currently we are 28 though our 29th birthday is just around the corner in April. we are actually excited for our 30s, we might be the only ones out there but we are not sure why we just think they will be great years for us. we shall see.
B is for breakfast today: it varies everyday, but today it was a green smoothie
C is for currently craving: our protein thin mints. seriously our favorite thing lately besides our morning coffee.
D is for dinner tonight: probably a veggie salad of some sort with tahini and a protein, maybe fish. right now we try to keep things simple.
E is for favorite type of exercise: HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts. anything that uses our Gymboss Interval Timer (affiliate link). we love the strength we feel after these workouts.
F is for an irrational fear: I (lori) am afraid of sharks, plus my wedding dress not fitting and not realizing it till the day of my wedding. and Michelle says she is fearless. though I do not believe her haha no really, her fears are worries. she worries to much, about the future, making mistakes, about missing out on things.
G is for gross food: not really sure anymore what a gross food is for us. because we have learned to love so many different kinds of foods. guess we would say – SPAM, enough said. and cheese in a can. we used to eat those bottles of cheese growing up but now we can not stomach the idea of it. we are sorry we know people out there that like it but for us that is not real cheese, we rather it a whole slab of mozzarella cheese over something in a can.
H is for hometown: Ft. Myers, FL. oh how we miss the sunny state…
I is for something important: taking care of our health. we want to live a long healthy life. and of course family time. being great aunts.
J is for current favorite jam: anything from Adele and the song Stereo Love by Edward Maya
K is for kids: we do not have any at the moment. I (lori) hope to be getting a dog soon, so that counts right.
L is for current location: North Carolina, sitting in Gary and I’s condo living room. Michelle over at her place.
M is for the most recent way you spent money: bought some green shirts for St. Patty’s day from Express.
N is for something you need: more time. think we all need that but seriously we have so many things to do and never enough time.
O is for occupation: owners and creators of Twin Cakes Bakery. entrepreneurs. if you need healthy snacks on the go then we are your go to girls. if you need support for starting your own company we are here for that as well as it is not as easy and glamorous as most people think.
P is for pet peeve: Lori- people not picking up after their dogs. where Gary and I live there is a spot of grass in front of our unit and there is always dog sh!t there and we have stepped in it a few times. seriously people have some courtesy for others. I mean you don’t want to step in dog sh!t so please pick up.
Michelle’s is people not rinsing the dishes when done and letting the food stick to the plates.
Q is for a quote: the serenity prayer
R is for random fact about you: Lori can wink and whistle, well kinda whistle… not the best. Michelle can not wink nor whistle.
S is for favorite healthy snack: no brainier here haha have to support our bakery here. that is why we started creating our snacks. for people to have a true healthy grab-n-go snack that can help make them feel and look their best.
T is for favorite treat: donuts are our favorite treat at the moment. since we are both watching our sugar and grain intake carefully for awhile, having one of our donuts is a treat for us.
U is for something that makes you unique: does being twins count? we can sense things about each other without even saying anything. we have a secret twin language. besides that we honestly can not really think of anything cool or fun.
V is for favorite vegetable: tough question as we love all veggies! top favorite for Lori is brussel sprouts, for Michelle it is beets.
W is for today’s workout: probably a short HIIT style workout plus 4 minutes of plank. we got a fun day planned with friends, so have to keep it very short and sweet.
X is for X-rays you’ve had: just the basic x-ray of our teeth. nothing too exciting over here.
Y is for yesterday’s highlight: making a huge and new commitment for our bakery
Z is for your time zone: Eastern Standard Time (EST)
well there you have it folks a little more into our heads, thoughts and lives. hope you enjoyed it.
your turn -answer one of the letters so we can get to know you better?
have a wonderful day!
till next time,
xoxo
