hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. we sure did.
as we mentioned our dad was in town. we shown him the new kitchen and Lori and Gary’s new house. we spent a lot of time in the car driving all around town. moving things. buying things. and there is still more to be done. we moved almost everything into the new place. we got a plumber coming tomorrow to hook up our sink. well hopefully!
we got the uhual late Friday afternoon and really had no idea where to start.
after some fresh juice to energize us we started packing things up and loading the uhual. then it was off to unload it all at the kitchen.

it was a long day. but we got a good start on the move.
each morning (Saturday and Sunday) we started with a nice breakfast to hold us till lunch time.

a new pancake recipe (inspired by our almond lemon pancakes) we will have to remake, as they did not come out as well as we were hoping for.

after fueling up it was time to start loading the uhual again.

we put our dad to work
it is going to take awhile till we figure out where we want to put things. find the best flow. but for now we are just worried about getting it all there. and then we will figure it out as we go along.
after doing some moving things over to the kitchen, we did a little moving for lori and gary’s place.
another long day. but it was worth it!
mom we got your quilt hung
Sunday we started our day with another recipe – mini donuts (we tweaked the recipe a little)
a few mishaps
donut crumbs…still tasted amazing!
but we did get some mini donuts to come out.

recipes to come. we just need to tweak the recipes one more time.
have a great Monday!

I love the quilt! My weekend was going great until my new neighbor’s grandson visiting from out of town decided to wander into my back yard and pull up my baby peach tree and throw it in the middle of the big pond where it sank! No peaches for me
How fun and exciting for you both. Our weekend was one day working out and housework and the next was fun with friends, all in all lovely. [ just crappy cold weather, some day we'll get sun!]

Love hearing what you’ve been up to–was thinking about you moving this w/e–so many people moving right now.
I think it’s so cute your mom made a twin cakes quilt! Love it!
We had some sunshine this w/e. I basically worked–slow, because I’m getting over ‘flu–but we went and got a shower and did laundry–big day!

What is Dandy Blend? I’ve been drinking more dandelion tea. What are the ingredients to dandy blend? And can I come over for some donuts!! Those look so yummy. If you guys are ever in L.A. you should try fonuts! They are amazing, they have gluten free and vegan versions. I seriously want to bathe in them, but only once a year for me, so I really savor them.
Alison here is the website for dandy blend http://www.dandyblend.com/ it is mainly dandelion. and yes we will have to remember those donuts next time out west.
What a productive weekend!!
So exciting to have a new place–and I’m sure you’ll settle right in quickly!
I love when my recipes are delicious but fall apart—it’s a great excuse to just eat them

I love this recipe, and I love that you use coconut oil. It raises metabolic rate, helping to promote weight loss. It’s awesome to add it to baked goods!
