Hello Friends!
Today we are continuing to share all our changes from our bakery to our blog.
You may start noticing some changes here on pure2raw.
First, we are changing our BLOG NAME and eventually our URL.
So what is our new blog name?

What do you think of our new blog name and logo?
Why the change in name?
We actually have been wanting to change our blog name for some time now but never did because we were too nervous to do it. Not sure why we felt scared to make this change as change happens all the time. Many of our fellow blog friends have changed their name and still having continued success.
That being said we wanted to change our blog name from pure2raw to something else because we have changed as individuals over the years we have been blogging. One reason why we named our blog pure2raw to begin with is that we just love the word PURE. To us it is bold, simple, and elegant all at the same time. Plus we try to be as pure/raw as we can on the blog. We had RAW in our blog name to show two loves – our love of raw foods and our love of being RAW in the since that you get the truth. That we showcase our RAW selves fully on this blog, we do not hold anything back. And the 2 was in there – well that is easy, there are two of us.
Over time though we have realized there are so many things we want to share and blog about that we felt our name pure2raw was holding us back. We wanted something simple and classy for our new blog name… and that is how purelytwins came about.
We left the word pure in there (again since we love that word) but jazzed it up some to be purely instead of just pure. And put twins in our name since we are twins (and that is never changing) and sometimes people do not realize that we are twins and get confused.
We want to be able to blog about anything. And feel purelytwins gives us more freedom to do just that.
What to expect now from our new blog purelytwins?
Similar things that we blog about here. But we are going to be adding in more blog topics and posts. Since Lori is now married (and bought a new house) and Michelle is single, we both want to share our journey of our lives here on the blog more individually, whatever that may be, plus still plan on doing things together.
Yes we will still share plenty of yummy recipes.
Yes we will still share what we do as our workouts.
Yes we will still share our journey to better health. When we see progress in ourselves and if we learn anything new that works for us we will share.
New things that you will see are: more house re-modeling, doggy related things (as Lori is getting a dog), photography, any fun things we come across, Michelle’s traveling journeys with Raw Threads, and so much more.
We are still designing our new blog’s site. When it is ready we shall share!

Our new header. Still working on some design things but we are liking where it is going.
We are both extremely happy and excited for this blog change. We know we might lose some of our fellow readers but we hope to continue to inspire and help more people in this next journey of our lives.

We feel change is good. Change keeps us learning more about ourselves and discovering things we may have never known before. Change will always be happening and we feel it is all about your attitude towards change that will either make or break you.

How do you feel about change? How do you handle change?
For fellow bloggers, have you changed your blog name before? Have you ever wanted to change it but too nervous to do it?
Love that quote!
We hope many of you continue to follow us on our new journey through life as twins! For now we will continue to blog here as we build our new site. You will start seeing our new name purelytwins throughout all our social media outlets.
For instance: (make sure to update your info about us to keep in touch, thanks)
Twitter name used to be @pure2raw it is now @purelytwins.
Our gravatar used to be pure2raw twins it is now going to be purelylori or purelymichelle –>depending on which twin is commenting.**this is also our new instagram names
Pinterest board is now called purelytwins.
Working on changing our facebook fan page – hopefully we can get facebook to change it and our youtube channel (though we are thinking of just starting a brand new channel, again since youtube will not let us change our URL name just the title name of channel! – so stupid in our opinion)
till next time,
xoxo
Lori and Michelle
soon to be : purelytwins

Congrats you guys! This is definitely great news – love the new name, love the header, love it all. Change is great! I also really like the idea of having personalized avatars as that way it’s easy to tell which one of you is talking and that way we can get to know each of you individually more and have it feel more personalized. Great idea!
Thanks Anna! that is what we are hoping for
I am so proud of you girls for bravely embracing change, and I love the new blog name. I’m so glad you decided to talk about what went into your decision. I’ve debated changing my blog’s name for a LONG time, but you know what the #1 thing holding me back is? Not being able to change the name of my FB page. Dumb, right? But I can’t bear the thought of starting over and going from almost 5,000 FB fans to zero. So please please PLEASE share anything you might learn about that, if/how they let you do it, etc. I am all ears!

Amber totally understand!!! that is one reason we were debating for so long too. We will let you know what we can dig up on facebook
Cha-cha-changes! It definitely sounds like it’s the right move for you gals. Good luck with the adjustments!
I tend to get nervous with change but also dissatisfied with too much consistency so it’s a constant balancing act for me. Last year, I had to change my blog’s URL unexpectedly and I was very afraid to lose my contact with the blogging world. With a proper announcement and Twitter updates though, I feel as though others caught on and adjusted as needed. I was always “danielle abroad” but my official blog name has been “Around the World in 340 Days” (while I was studying abroad) and “A Nourishing Glimpse (when I got back and was still in college). Eventually, I settled into the identity I think I’ve had along. Life has a way of working itself out like that.

Congrats on the new blog name! I love it!
Changing your blog URL is a pain, so I wish you both luck with that! When I changed my name last year, it was much harder than I imagined. If I ever were to do it again, I think I’d hire a professional! But, I am still glad I did it, so don’t be scared of change!

I love the new name! I just found your blog a few weeks ago, and I look forward to reading your new posts! I do have one question. I’ve been wanting to change my YouTube channel name for a long time, but I don’t see an option for that. How did you do it? Did you contact YouTube directly to have it changed?
Change is a wonderful thing, and I am happy that you two are embracing it! I love the new blog name and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. Best of luck with the changes.

I really love it and agree it gives you more freedom now, and in the future to continue to change and evolve… life should never be stagnant! I’m happy I chose a blog name in the very beginning that can take any direction I choose, because goodness knows I blog about a host of different topics.

I normally like change – at least change that *I* initiate, anyway (as opposed to change that is forced upon me)!
To grow things must change…change is always good..otherwise I think we would stagnate! I have enjoyed your site for sometime now and enjoy it,,,the new one will be just as great!
I *love* it! More and more I believe that change is good, and often needed – life is so much more interesting that way. I can’t wait to keep reading and see what fantastic things you ladies have to share with the world

I haven’t even thought about changing my blog name but I’m still pretty new. Maybe one day, but I’m sure it’s something I’d put off too. It seems so complicated to change everything!

Change can be scary, but its also exciting (and what must happen)! We all love taking the journey with you… look forward to each new phase! Congrats!!
Thank you Carrie!
Hey ladies! I like the idea but I would personally rephrase the “eating and sweating” part.
Meagan change it to what? we thought it was cute as that is what we do…eat and sweat
I agree with Meagan. Maybe try:
Twin sisters celebrating daily life
From our delicious eats & treats, to fitness
And everything in between!
I didn’t like the eating and sweating part because it just doesn’t sound very appetizing.

I also hate that youtube doesn’t let you change your channel name… and facebook… so silly!! If you can change your NAME on facebook, why on earth can’t you change your page name?
Anyway – good luck with everything!! I hope you find that no one’s really bothered by the change – you’re still the same people, and have the same values, so really you shouldn’t lose any readers
