Happy Monday luvs,
How was everyone’s weekend? Glorious I hope
Well Michelle and I had a busy weekend though we did manage to relax a little last night.
As we mentioned earlier this week we wanted to share our grasshopper pie with you all. The one that we got to enjoy on our birthday!

Are you ready?
If you love mint and something not too sweet than you will love this mint pie!
Pure2Raw Recipe: Raw Grasshopper Pie
Ingredients:
Crust-
- 1/4 cup carob powder (or you can use cocoa powder)
- 1/2 cup coconut flakes (or you can use any nut meal you like)
- 1 tbsp alcohol free vanilla
- 2 tbsp date paste (or you can use any liquid sweetener you like)
Directions:
Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender and pulse till combined. *If you already have coconut flour or nut meal please feel free to hand stir this all together
Press crust dough in a 6 inch cake pan or springform pan would work too.
Filling:
Mint Layer-
- 2 large avocados
- 2 tbsp sunflower lecithin (or soy lecithin, xanthan gum,or guar gum of your choice though the amount for the recipe may vary depending on what you use, I would suggest starting with 1 tsp)
- 2 tbsp irish moss paste (this is optional but it provides this layer with great texture) * you may use gelatin if you prefer
- 1 tbsp alcohol free vanilla
- 2 tsp mint extract (you may add more or less depending on how minty you like your pie to be)
White Creme layer-
- 1 banana
- 1/4 cup lucuma powder (for more substitutions check out here)
- 5 packets of stevia
- Few drops of liquid chorophyll (to help with green color)
- 1/8-1/4 tsp spirulina (additional nutrition value and helps with color too)
- 2 tbsp water
Directions:
For both layers place your ingredients into a blender and blend till smooth (may use a food processor if you do not have a blender).
Putting the whole pie together!

Assembly:
- Take your pan that is already filled with crust and spoon a little of the white creme layer down. Place in freezer to set about 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from freezer and place the mint layer on top of white creme layer. Place back into freezer to set about 30 –45 minutes.
- And for the last layer top the remaining white creme layer on top of mint layer. And decorate with cacao nibs if you would like.
- Place the whole grasshopper pie back into the freezer to let set.
When ready to eat the grasshopper pie take out of freezer about 20-30 minutes to let thaw a little. Or may eat pie cold

8 Reasons why we loved this raw grasshopper pie:
- easy to make
- enjoy playing around with unique ingredients
- not too sweet
- well rounded flavor
- light but creamy texture
- gluten free and vegan
- no nuts if you use coconut flakes in crust
- full of healthy fats
Well that is it folks for your un-cooking class today. Michelle and I hope you enjoy the recipe! We plan to make this grasshopper pie again and probably do a twist on it
Stayed for more great recipes coming your way soon.

Hello friends,
To go over some of the questions from our cookie tahini bar recipe. Yes you can substitute any nut butter or use more coconut butter instead of tahini. It will just alter the taste and texture from the original recipe. But that is ok! Experiment and have fun
And do not feel you need to go out and buy nut butters or tahini, you can make them yourself if you have a blender or food processor!
Okay now onto our update on our taking a break plan.
After being a little tired on Wednesday we were a little nervous about how the rest of the week was going to go for us. But have no fear we are doing very well actually. To both of our surprises we had great energy levels for Thursday and Friday
We added in some green smoothies along to our fresh fruit and fresh juices. And of course lots of natural spring water
I feel that has made a BIG difference in how we both have been feeling!!!! Water is an amazing thing especially if it is natural spring water.
Our workout for Thursday was a 25 minute walk outside and about 15 minutes of yoga. And for Friday we did 15 minutes of yoga along with some Tracy Anderson mat workout exercises. Both felt great!!!!! If felt nice again to get moving
Our eats have been green smoothies
Thursday: Grapefruit, collard greens, stevia and spring water.

A huge smoothie on Friday: Grapefruit, swiss chard, stevia, spring water, (made 5 cups each)
And there was juicing

A juice filled with beets, romaine, carrots, cucumber, beet tops.

Yesterday’s juice was something pretty similar.
Snacks: glass of kombucha and fresh fruit

A bowl of fresh raspberries. It has been nice eating fresh fruit again! It has been awhile since we have done that because mostly we juice or blend things up

And for ‘dessert’ or our snack after our juice for dinner we create another bowl of fresh fruit.
Granny smith apples and grapefruit ( we split grapefruit and each had one apple).
Yesterdays lunch was something a bit special
Romaine kaboocha squash wraps with black lava sea salt (our favorite)
It hit the spot! Yum! Simple yet surprisingly delicious!
And for our late night meal last night we made another simple grapefruit purple kale smoothie with some stevia and treated ourselves to some sunflower lecithin. We wanted a thick soup like texture for our smoothie
And added some lemon juice and spirulina for extra boost in the soup smoothie! Perfection!
I must admit it has been hard doing this clean eating for certain parts of the day. Overall, I feel great! My skin is actually clearing up!!!! I feel so light and happy
I still have a few blemishes but overall MUCH improvement.
Michelle and I plan to continue our very clean eats for a few more days. We both feel great and do not want it to stop. Therefore, we will still be having green smoothies, fresh juices but adding in sauerkraut and wilted salads. We both want more veggies now and a little less fruit.
Hopefully our success with these changes continues for us both!!
Now onto a different note. I hope many of you got to see Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution last night! We did! Overall we thought he did a great job!!! At moments we felt so bad for him because we felt his pain because we have dealt with the same things. I just hope people take his show as inspiration to start making changes in their own life. By Michelle and I eating this very clean diet is not the easiest thing but seeing the BENEFITS and FEELING GREAT it is hard not to BELIEVE that what you eat really does effect your BODY! We could talk about weight, obesity, food pyramid, school lunches, and health of our nation for hours but we will stop with just saying this – WE HONESTLY CARE FOR OTHER PEOPLE’S HEALTH THAT IS WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO! We hope that others start caring about themselves and family to make more positive changes
You are have to make one change at a time and the rest will fall into place!!!!
Ok, we off to go bake more cupcakes for an another order for today. It has been cupcake madness over here
News.
For one of our great and simple recipes please check out our guest post at our dear friend Lori’s blog!

Hello friends,
It is almost time for Fitbloggin
Why do we always wait to the last minute to get things done?!?!?! So much to and such little time!
But besides running around like mad women we have been eating some things! So glad to see that everyone loved hearing about Averie’s story! Thanks again Averie your the best!
A rich creamy and thick green smoothie (on Monday Michelle and I knew this week was going to be crazy so we went ahead and made all our smoothies so they were ready for later this week) We are so smart
Therefore by letting our smoothies sit in the fridge helped make them thick (from the sunflower lecithin) and delicious.

I think this green smoothie was apples and kale. Perfect way to start our day after our Tracy Anderson Workouts!
Another shake was for lunch
Coconut kefir shake with raspberries, cilantro and lime!
Dinner a few nights ago was steamed brussel sprouts with some sauerkraut (sorry for the not so pretty pictures we used Michelle’s phone to take this)
We poured our sauce that we made for our squash kraut stack a few days ago on top
Heavenly!
A few days ago we enjoyed a simple snack of roasted fennel and fermented veggies on top.

Another snack from yesterday was steamed broccoli with rosemary and cumin on top. We love cumin and we know the lovely Lauren does too!

Dinner was some fresh lettuce from a local farmer with fresh cilantro and more sauerkraut.
And for dessert these past few nights we created another version of our carrot cake with a tropical twist on it
We added avocado and lime to the batter and frosting! Also our frosting was homemade coconut butter that Heather created
She is so smart.
Seriously the best carrot cake yet
We have created so many different version of this little dessert though since we both are madly in love with avocados and lime this hit the spot!!!!!
And than last night we put another twist on this tropical carrot cake bar…. yacon syrup drizzled over it!
Yacon syrup is our favorite sweetener after stevia of course

And last night in honor of St. Patty’s Day we enjoyed a large GREEN spinach parsley salad with more sauerkraut on top!
We threw some onions, dulse flakes and turmeric in there!
Phew that was a lot of food to cover. Now time to go and deliver some gluten free cupcakes to some clients then back here to pack and finish things for FitBloggin
Till next time,
Lori

Hello luvs,
How was everyone’s weekend? Flew by didn’t? Why do the weekends have to go by so fast!!!!!
Anyways, Michelle and I ate very well over the weekend with some usual and not so usual eats!
Blueberry coconut kefir shake (our post-workout shake)
Creamy and delicious!

Snacked a on few of these during the day – carob donut holes.
Lunch was something we just thought of last minute but turned out to be amazing. We wanted to have ‘grilled’ cheez so we put this sandwich together with a twist on it
We took our pure2raw sunflower seed flatbread and put some of our ‘nacho’ cheez sauce in between and voila you get a raw gluten free vegan sandwich!

Nothing but pure bliss!
And dinner was something a little bit more labor intensive
Not really it just looks that way!

Acorn squash kraut stack!

We made a twist on Michelle’s classic and delicious coconut stack! I love these types of meals, so pretty and absolutely to die for
I am always craving one of these fun meals. They are pretty easy to make and so worth it in the end!
A random dessert we had was another version of our carrot cake that we made into cupcakes and topped with an avocado lime frosting. Yes lime and carrots! I know may sound weird but we love lime and avocados together so we said why not trying it as our frosting for one of our carrot cake cupcakes. And it turned out great!!!!!!!
You pretty much just taste key lime and no carrot cake, but that was fine with me
I LOVED IT! Craving it right now

Another day Michelle and I enjoyed a big bowl of fermented veggies, sauerkraut and fresh cilantro. Topped with some of the leftover sauce from our acorn squash kraut dish! Marvelous!

The sauce is a keeper! Simple and so light and refreshing!
Our breakfast on Sunday was a thick pudding green coconut kefir (sorry it is un-pictured). This pudding was a mix of coconut kefir, kale, apples, sunflower lecthin, and maca. Surprisingly delicious! I loved how thick it got. We made it the night before and let it set in the fridge overnight which helped get it to be pudding like!
A pre-workout snack was a little bowl fill of dates, coconut flakes, chia seeds, lemon juice and coconut oil.

I know it may not look the prettiest but it sure hit the spot and got me ready for my workout!
After a great workout we enjoyed a 20 oz glass of fresh juice

Juice was carrots, beets, pears, and celery with a splash of lemon juice.
And going along with our love or kelp noodles we made another wonderful pasta dinner. This noodle dinner we added in some fresh salad mix from a local farmer. I must admit this was not the best sauce on its own but when the whole dish came together it was fabulous!

We tossed in some steamed brussel sprouts as well! Glorious!
And dessert was a few more carob donut holes! Yummy!
Well that is about it for highlights of our eats over these past few days!
We are get ready over here for the Fitbloggin Event this weekend! We are so excited to meet everyone and share our goodies with everyone
As well as bring some of our t-shirts!!!
Till next time,

Hello friends,
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!
Hope every one is enjoying their day. We are really excited because we finally have a nice warm weekend here in NC which is great for the farmers markets
We got some questions regarding our workouts – mainly with the Tracy Anderson mat method. This is the end of our 2nd week of doing her exercises which we do about 5 times a week. And we are starting to feel like we are getting stronger and getting a little bit more definition in our bodies. We know it is a slow process along with everything else in life
but we thoroughly enjoy her fitness concept. So we plan to continue it! We have not been doing much running lately just about once a week. Yoga about 2-3 times a week!
After yesterdays Tracy’s session we enjoyed another great post workout pudding! Similar to ones you saw yesterday! Love all the different combinations we seem to be just throwing together, yet all have some main ingredients like lemon or lime and something green to help alkalize us!
As I mentioned yesterday we created a delicious avocado pudding that we just absolutely LOVED! Plan to make this at least once a week
You do need a special ingredient to make it.. sunflower lecithin or any emulsifier would do like guar gum, etc. Though we personal love sunflower lecithin we use it in many of our recipes. Love the results it provides puddings and smoothies. What it does is that it combines all the ingredients together and gives a nice lightness to the puddings. It helps provide puddings especially this one, such creamy, and lightness that it feels like you are almost eating air!

Pictures just do not do this avocado pudding justice!

We inhaled this pudding in like zero point 2 seconds
Pure2Raw Recipe: Mesquite Avocado Pudding
Ingredients:
Directions:
Place all ingredients into food processor and blend on high speed for a few seconds. Stop and scrap down the sides and blend again for a few more seconds till it is fully combined and light and fluffy texture!
Optional topping: sprinkle with more mesquite
And place in a nice martini glass and enjoy!
I guess I did not like it
Wiped the class clean!
We have finally come to the end of our fermented drink and foods series!! We will be showing here soon how to make water kefir! Another easy and healthy drink for you to incorporate into your daily life
Water kefir has become a staple in our daily life. Video coming soon and plus an update on how our sauerkraut in a bowl is doing!
News:
Going along with our bloggy shirts we will be adding a few more t-shirts to our online store. Hope you like them!

All these shirts that we have been showing that are for sale are from our older sister who just launched her own organic high quality t-shirt company! We are so excited for our sister because these has been a life time dream and project of hers and now she is finally doing it!! She just needed a little extra push from us to get it up and running
We hope every one likes the shirts and they will be added to our online store sometime today! So get those orders in
Please help spread the word about our sisters new t-shirt company called Raw Threads! She is working on her online website and once she launches the site we will let everyone know but for now you can buy them from us!

Happy Thursday everyone!
We wanted to go over a few things going along with our coconut kefir video. Michelle forgot to mention a few things. Many of you might see kefir starter packs in your local stores or online. The difference between the kefir starter packs and the grains is that the packs only last a few times while the grains could possible last a lifetime. That way you really only have to buy the grains once because they will continue to populate and make more. Though if you are just curious and starting out with making kefir the starter packs are a great way to go.
Going along with the grains there are two types water and milk. Both are great! We use both. And now for the ‘milk’ grains you do not necessary have to use dairy to make them as you saw in our video coconut milk seems to be working out just fine. Yes you all may be thinking that the ‘milk’ grains are not vegan, which is true. But we do not make our kefir using ‘real’ milk just coconut or hemp milks and we are loving it because it is very similar to real kefir and it has the sour and creaminess that we love. So to us it is ok even if it started out with real ‘milk’ grains. Though you may experiment with whatever type of grain and liquid you feel most comfortable with doing. We plan to show more on making water kefir later this week.
Anymore questions please just let us know. We are here to help and would love to see more of you trying out making your own kefir!!!!
Ok enough of kefir now onto our eats for over the past few days.
Going along with Gena’s theme of saying “I LOVE TO EAT!” And you all know Michelle and I love to do that. Though we have struggled with eating disorders too. Our journey was a little bit different (our food issues all were based around our stomach issues- we would not eat because we did not want to feel like crap) though eventually over time we finally learned to love food again and embrace ourselves and the food we eat. We also struggled with our body images that we know many of you deal with as well though we will save that big topic another day!
Therefore in honor of National Eating Disorder week we wanted to show you all that eating healthy can be fun, delicious, and comforting! And of course great for your body and mind!
A great lunch filled with coconut oil, pure2raw sunflower cheez flatbread and sauerkraut!

Heavenly! Everyone needs to make this and taste a bit if heaven
Snack was some cilantro mixed in with some fermented veggies and pumpkin seeds (grounded into flour) of course

And avocado for dinner/dessert – yes please!

Avocado key lime pudding mixed in some sunflower lecithin
Hits the spot of us both every time. We are huge fans of key lime!!!!
And of course to start our day today …. green smoothie
This delicious smoothie was filled with dino kale, grapefruit, coconut oil, sunflower lecithin, stevia and lots of fresh ginger
Lately all I have been craving is sauerkraut and grapefruit! Not sure why but I guess those are not bad things to crave
Ok well I challenge of all you to say you love FOOD and yourself!!! And talk about food and why you eat food. Remember food is not your enemy as long as you are eating what is right for your body and it makes you feel good. It took Michelle and I a very long time to realize this and now we are happier than ever! Though not every day we are perfect or 100% happy with everything, though we are grateful with the food choices we make and know that we are on the journey to a better health!
Now go out there and make some delicious food and tell us all about it.
Till next time,
Lori

- 2 garlic’s
- 1/4 tsp salt

We like to have our guacamole a little on the thick and chunky side. Though we can mash it up as pureed or chunky as you like

Leaves such a fun color don’t you think? And taste unbelievable!
That’s it for that recipe, so simple you just need a bowl and a good fork
Next recipe is our Cheezy pepper nacho sauce

Happy Sunday everyone!!
I have been up for 2 hours and have done nothing besides writing this long and useful post!!! Don’t you just love Sundays!! An official excuse to be lazy, right??
Anyways our friend Averie asked us to share our favorite things. It has been a topic we wanted to do just never got around to it, so when she mentioned it we thought now is a great time to share.
Twin’s Favorite Things – again these are from our own experiences you can make your own call
How we go about getting our ingredients. We do most of our shopping online although if we are low on certain ingredient and we know a local health food store around us sells it we will just by it from them. We try to buy in bulk as well because in the long run it saves you time and money.
1) Coconut Oil - best quality and tasting - Artisana Premier Organics coconut oil and coconut butter
best for your money – one gallon tub from Sun Foods
best convenient – sold in most health food stores Nutiva
Other high quality coconut oil brands we have been enjoying Vivapura and Virgin Coconut oil De Coco Creme
2) Best online stores to shop: how we shop the most are Natural Zing, Amazon, Navitas Naturals, and Mountain Rose Herbs. For specialty items Raw Food World and Sun Food.
What we have been know to buy at Natural Zing: MSM powder, kelp noodles, coconut oil, tahini, maca, lucuma, yacon syrup, chia seeds, spirulina, raw cacao powder, raw cacao nibs, camu camu, and nuts and seeds, hemp seeds
Amazon: coconut water, Artisana and Navitas Natural brand products, dehydrator, vitamix, spiralizer, mandoline, nutritional yeast
Navitas Naturals: chia seeds, raw cacao, sprouted flax meal, yacon syrup, mesquite, maca, hemp seeds, lucuma and stevia
Mountain Rose Herbs: cinnamon, turmeric, sea salt, maca, chia seeds, chorella, spirulina, dulse flakes, any spice really, green tea (for making our kombucha tea)
3) Hemp products: Best overall Manitoba Harvest (can be pricey)
Best second choice Nutiva
Other overall decent hemp protein Ruth’s Hemp (we get from Natural Zing) or buying in bulk from Whole foods or Mountain Rose Herbs
4) Stevia – powder we like the best is Sweet Leaf the packets (which you can find in most heath food stores)
Second best is – KAL Pure Stevia Extract liquid (we get from health food stores)
Third best is – Stevia powder from Navitas Naturals (this is an acquired taste)
We find to like most Stevia products but we prefer liquid forms of it the best. We know for some Stevia is hard to get used to though we have been using if for over 3 years and we hardly notice it anymore. To us it is worth the after taste or getting used to factor from it having no calories and for us it is truly the best sugar substitute. We use it a lot in our bakery and personally!
5) Other random ingredients we use and where to find them
Nutritional yeast – most health food stores sell it (RedStar is our favorite)and Amazon
Irish Moss and Sunflower lecithin – I mentioned this yesterday
Florida Crystals Organic Sugar – we use for making kombucha and water kefirs (most health food stores sell this brand)
Native Forest Unsweetened Classic coconut milk – again most health food stores should sell this
Living Harvest – hemp milk (unsweetened)
Pacific Foods – Almond milk (unsweetened) and Hazelnut milk, and Rice milk
Again how we go about purchasing these items varies every time we need something. Some times it comes down to money, convenience or brand loyalty. It really all depends what we are shopping for and what we are low on. It also comes down to personal preference and money.
This great lady also has great tips on buying in bulk. Also we know because we have done it that most health food stores allow you to buy in bulk (cases) like Whole Foods, Earth Fare, and any local health food store in your area. Just go and ask the customer service area and they should be able to help you out. Buying in bulk is great especially for a family with lots of mouths to feed! Mountain Rose Herbs again is a great place to do this as well because they offer bulk discounts to everyone and their products are organic
We hope this list of our favorites helps you along your journey of finding great healthy additions to your lifestyle like is has ours! Please let us know if you have any specific questions.
And Lori was correct in her guess with what our dinner was from last night! Kelp noodles though we a great twist
And speaking of this lovely lady she is hosting a great giveaway – an ice cream maker
If you get an ice cream maker you can start making delicious ice cream like this

Cookie dough Ice Cream
Back to our dinner:
Kabocha Kelp Noodles
We blended in our roasted Kabocha from earlier this week add in some salt, leftover sage that we roasted with the squash and some water. Threw it all into the blender and blended till creamy though ours we kept on the thick side
Than created a ‘green’ sauce to over the top, you know us with our greens! Green sauce was a blend of tahini, yacon syrup, apple cider vinegar, parsley, shallot, sunflower lecithin and water! Blend till creamy. And pour on top of kelp noodles and kabocha squash mixture.
We just mixed it all together and topped with more fresh parsley

Amazing! We think all squash lovers would approve of this sauce
A great way to end a Saturday night. One reason why we created this dish was to show a customer at the farmers market yesterday morning what else to do with squash. She mentioned she does not know what else to do with winter squashes and that’s when we thought of using it as pasta ‘tomato’ sauce! Although we feel this would work with any veggie dish!
We got lots of goodies lined up today for the big game! Super bowl day! We can’t wait to show you all what we come up with tomorrow
Cheers from the Twins. We have no favorite for which team to win we just want a good game to watch and the commercials!
Till next time,
The Twins

Hey luvs
Last night as we sipped on some lovely hot cocoa and gobbled up enjoyed some of our Twin Cakes gluten free vegan chocolate chip cookies (and sent some cookie love via Twitter to our friends, Betty and Lauren), as we were getting caught up on with some of our favorite blog’s and found some amazing inspiration. One was from this lovely lady.
So while we stood in the freezing cold weather (plus some snow flurries) this morning at our farmers market we thought about all the things we could make. We love Snickerdoodles. The perfect blend of cinnamon and sugar. We made some gluten free vegan snickerdoodle cookies before last year as featured item at our farmers markets, but have not done anything since. So we decided we will create something raw….surprise right ; ) Thanks Katie, you got us thinking now!
First we had lovely breakfast:

Spirulina Coconut Kefir Pudding topped with cinnamon
The picture just does not do this breakfast justice…the color green was so pretty!! And the taste was amazing ; ) Oh and on a side note, we both got better sleep last night and did not feel tired at all this morning. So we were excited about that.
Well due to having energy, we got in the kitchen as soon as we got back from the market. And made two different snickerdoodle desserts. They are in the dehydrator, so hopefully one of them turns out. Hopefully we can make Katie proud ; )
You all remember this

Our layered chocolate cake.
We received some questions about two ingredients we used.
Pure2raw Secret Ingredients:
Sunflower lecithin. Lecithin is an emulsifier, which is the main reason we use it in a lot of our raw recipes. The more common lecithin most people and companies use is made from soy (soy lecithin), but since we try to avoid soy when possible we found this wonderful product from the Raw Food World. Thanks so much to Matt for finding this product, we love it!!
We absolutely love our sunflower lecithin for many reasons, but as I mentioned mainly for the binding property. I will admit it took some time getting used to the consistency and flavor, but now I seem to put it in everything somethings. I actually miss it if I do not put it into my smoothies or puddings. Yep our breakfast above had some of it stirred in!! See how thick and creamy it was. Delicious. Sunflower lecithin just creates this amazing texture and feel in your mouth.
We have talked about Sunflower lecithin a few times on our blog
Raw apple pie and raw ice cream
Raw green been casserole
Cranberry dressing
Please check them out for more tips and recipes.
Next up is Irish Moss

We have played around with Irish moss before. We could not find much good information about it out there, so we just kept playing around with it. Now it is NOT Irish moss powder!! There is a difference, and we have tried the powder and NO LUCK!! So please save yourself the time and money and do not buy the powder. It does not work the same…or at least to us it did not work as good as the real thing!
Then lucky for us, Michelle got to learn more about it when she went to 105 degrees. The Irish moss used in school was from Maine where Matthew Kenney lives. So let me tell you it was perfect Irish moss. When Michelle got back from school we finally got around to playing with it again and made some raw desserts.
Where can you get Irish moss?
Another product you can find from the Raw Food World. Also One Lucky Duck sells Irish moss as well.

Good morning friends,
Love the comments about yoga studio vs gym debate. Lori and I have signed up for a power yoga session tonight at one of the new local yoga studios, which we are very excited about
Following up with the hormonal imbalance post we wanted to make sure that everyone is listening to their own individual body’s. We plan to continue to update you all on how our hormonal balance is going and let you know if we find something that works for us. If you have any more questions on again how to heal more naturally please email as twins at pure2raw.com! We be glad to help out in anyway we can.
Seeing all this “get fit” talk going around in the bloggie world as well as on twitter. Lori and I have decided to start a little fitness ritual of our own. Every morning we are going to do one set of push-ups, 2 things for abs, and 2 leg exercises. Plus do a few sun salutations! Trying to do something a little extra of morning to give us a jump start for the day!
Our morning yesterday started with a delicious kale apple smoothie with coconut oil, msm powder, fresh ginger and sunflower lecthin.

Seriously been loving my green smoothie fix in the morning. One of the best ways to start a very busy day
Lunch was a glorious sauerkraut arugula salad with hemp oil, and dulse flakes!

Workout:
45 minute walk outside
Also cleaned out the garage, which has been on the to-do list for a few weeks
Hey better now than never right!
Post-workout smoothie:
Rice protein powder with spirulina, maca, stevia, mesquite, carob powder, romaine, and topped with cacao nibs!
*was one of those shakes that you thought it sounded good but turned out to be just average :/ I really do not like rice protein powder. This was a struggle for me to get down!

But to make up for it we whipped our all time favorite puddings for dinner!
Pure2Raw – Key Lime avocado pudding! Perfect every time

This time we added in some additional coconut oil
So light and creamy! Love our avocado puddings! The perfect way to end a long day!
We have been missing being in the kitchen and creating recipes so we plan to get back to that this week. Hopefully we will be able to share some more great and easy recipes with you all soon
Till next time,
Michelle
